I submitted a motion in Feb 2025 to stop Eid events at Croke Park. The motion was deemed nonstatutory and was sitting comfortably at the back of the agenda for 2 months, realising that we could be months waiting for this item to reach the floor, I withdrew it in April to be able to floor other issues and concerns people have. Croke Park is for Gaelic games, not foreign celebrations. After the 2024 elections, with 949 councillors nationwide, too many in Fingal prioritise "inclusivity" over our traditions. Sinn Féin, Fianna Fáil and Fine gael, and others trade daily in diversity politics. We must protect what’s ours but we do need more councillors who’ll fight for the Irish people, their identity, their culture & their nation in 2029. I’ll keep pressing on my end from our council seat, but next time around, ensure I have company because the reality is even when such a motion is reached on the agenda, we would be lucky to have support from any of the other elected officials to get it to the floor for debate. You can, and you must, as an activist, work to get National Party representatives elected. We don't just, talk the talk - we walk the walk. The establishment is the disease, we are the cure.
