Over the years, she has built a reputation for creating "pop-surrealistic" and "creepy-cute" sculptural works that explore the tension between reality and imagination. Influenced by fantasy stories, curiosities, and the concept of time travel, she infuses her work with both natural and fantastical elements. Arts Week 1974 Student's Tea with Gurmit Singh Wednesday 9 October, 7-8.30pm @ Reading Room* Gurmit Singh is a Singaporean actor and comedian best known for playing the hilarious, yellow-boot-wearing Phua Chu Kang in the hit sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd. His goofy contractor character made him a household name across Singapore and Malaysia in the late '90s and 2000s. Aside from acting, Gurmit has hosted shows like The Amazing Race Asia, and won multiple awards. In 2014, he stepped back from the limelight to spend more time with his family but still pops up now and then to entertain fans!
