How to make a successful token launch? Insight from Dennis, co-founder of @storm_trade_news, the first Perp DEX on TON and one of the largest DEXes on the blockchain.
🧑🔧 Test pre-market trading
Before the official TGE, StormTrade enabled pre-market trading of token allocations. This helped prevent airdrop recipients from dumping tokens during the launch. Instead, those who wanted to sell did so in the pre-market, while serious investors acquired tokens.
The result was stable price discovery and minimal volatility during the TGE.
💽 Design token with utility in mind
The token’s value is intrinsically linked to the protocol’s success through a revenue-sharing mechanism.
A portion of the protocol's revenue is allocated for token buybacks, aligning token value with trading volume and protocol growth.
📊 Align stakeholder interests
Investors, users, and the team all benefit from increased trading volume, creating a shared incentive to grow the ecosystem.
This approach ensures token performance reflects the protocol’s long-term success.
AI agents in Web3: real use cases from Boba Network
AI agents are trending in Web3, with a 64% increase in Google searches last quarter. But this isn’t just buzz—here are real projects from Boba’s hackathon:
CodeCaster 🛠
Enables natural language commands for blockchain, like “Transfer 5 ETH to X” or “Transfer ETH if BTC > $30K.” AI parses commands into on-chain transactions seamlessly.
Presibot 🎮
A political simulation where AI generates real-world scenarios (e.g., inflation). Players submit policies, stake tokens, and AI picks winners based on effectiveness.
Other Ideas 💡
AI NFTs: Tokens with personalities that interact with users.
Fraud Detection: AI checks loans for anomalies.
Credit Assessment: AI uses off-chain credit for on-chain loans.
The future of restaking in 2024 🚀
(from the panel discussion "Restaking: The State of Play, Major Results, Downsides of 2024, and 2025 Forecast")
1️⃣ Rapid growth: In just 19 months, restaking has gone from concept to reality, with over 500 teams building Actively Validated Services.
2️⃣ Security synergy: By combining economic incentives with cryptographic tools like ZK proofs, restaking unlocks scalability and practicality for advanced blockchain applications.
3️⃣ Challenges ahead: While the foundation is strong, features like slashing mechanisms are still being developed. Patience is key as the ecosystem matures.
4️⃣ 2025 vision: Next year will be a breakout year for Restaking, with mature protocols and real-world applications driving adoption.
🧠 Rushi Manche (Co-founder of Movement Labs) on the future of Web3 infrastructure:
"If we're saying L1s, L2s, and technical stuff in seven years, we have failed as an industry. Ethereum's job should be as a global composability layer, enabling seamless interactions between L2s and applications without even knowing L2s exist."
What is the future of Layer2s and rollups?
Main insights from the panel discussion “Advancing Layer 2: Next-Gen Solutions and Breakthroughs”
👯 Rollps are everywhere, but fragmentation remains
The growth of rollup clusters and modular design has made launching rollups easier than ever. However, interoperability remains a challenge, with fragmented ecosystems relying on bridges and shared governance. True seamless interaction between rollups is still a long way off.
interoperability will become the next big focus as rollups scale, but expect it to be slow and gradual.
💽 App Chains are rising
The rise of application-specific chains is on the horizon. As interoperability matures, more applications will migrate to their own dedicated rollups, optimizing for custom needs without user fragmentation.
While app chains offer customisation, they also face problems like migrating liquidity and maintaining user experience. The rise of app chains is inevitable, but the ecosystem must evolve to support them.
📅 Web3 is becoming more modular
L2s have shifted towards modularity, enabling developers to add features and experiment with AltVMs, pre-compiles, and economic models. This modularity accelerates innovation and drives Ethereum's growth.
Ethereum's modular approach strengthens its position over monolithic chains like Solana by fostering a faster pace of experimentation and adaptability.
🛡 We need to push for decentralisation
The ecosystem is at a crossroads, with centralised rollups (like Coinbase Base) potentially dominating. Maintaining Ethereum's ethos of censorship resistance and decentralization is crucial.
Community-driven efforts to ensure decentralisation and transparency are vital to counter centralized control, particularly as rollup adoption accelerates.

Three observations from different people at Devcon.
👯 Vibes and mood of people
Everyone seems very tired due to the end of the year, but still optimistic as BTC hits ATH.
💽 Not enough apps
We have almost 1000 rollups, but still no retail app. The only example is Polymarket, which became popular during the US presidential election.
Maybe next year we will see dApps not just for nerds, but for ordinary people. Who knows?
📅 Too many side events
We heard it before Devcon started, but the sentiment is still out there: Web3 has too many side events and it's hard for people to choose which ones to attend. Last time we checked, there were over 1000 of them happening right before Devcon started, during the main event and a few days after.
Insight from the Epic Web3 team: people seem to be tired and prefer to stay at one event all day rather than jump from one event to another.

Bitcoin is entering a new era.
Edan Yago's (Co-founder of BitcoinOS) keynote at BTC Scaling Day on why we’re about to see Bitcoin at the center of innovation again:
🔹 Bitcoin's early days: In the early days of Bitcoin (2011-2013), the Bitcoin community was brimming with ideas that are now common in the broader crypto space. These ideas included zero-knowledge proofs, privacy enhancements, decentralized exchanges, proof-of-stake, and even NFTs.
But projects faced significant technical difficulties due to the limitations of the Bitcoin protocol at that time.
Many moved to other chains...but now they’re coming back.
🔹 Breaking old limits: Thanks to ZK proofs, Bitcoin can now execute smart contracts and move BTC into new layers without requiring users to trust third parties or rely on multi-signature solutions.
In other words, it provides a method to securely transfer BTC and verify smart contracts directly on Bitcoin’s base layer.
🔹 The Holy Grail of Bitcoin: The ability to verify ZK proofs on Bitcoin mainnet means that for the first time, Bitcoin can combine its security with advanced functionalities like roll-ups, sidechains, and programmable token protocols.
This development has reignited excitement in the Bitcoin space, as it suggests that developers no longer need to choose between security and functionality.
Alright, everyone, take a seat! 🧑🏼🏫

3 main challenges in L2s ecosystem: from Altan Tutar, co-founder & CEO @ Nuffle Labs, developing NEAR DA & The Nuffle Fast Finality Layer!
💔 Liquidity fragmentation: As more Layer 2 solutions and rollups are launched, liquidity becomes fragmented across different L2s and Layer 1 blockchains.
This makes it harder for users and developers to efficiently manage assets across multiple layers, leading to inefficiencies in DeFi operations.
🌉 Complexity of cross-layer interaction: Each Layer 2 operates independently, making it difficult to unify data and state across blockchains.
Users often need to move assets between different L2s, which is costly and time-consuming, complicating the overall user experience.
👮 Varying security models: Different Layer 2 solutions employ varying security models, such as multisig)validation, which may be less secure than the decentralized validation models used by Layer 1 chains.
This variation creates security trade-offs that users need to be aware of, adding another layer of complexity to the L2 ecosystem.
How do you even judge the impact of ads monetization moves in TG? 🧐
Buckle up!
Andrei Mukhametov from AdSonar is gonna break it down, showing how mediation affects revenue from monetization in TMA in his keynote — "Unlocking Mini Apps Ad Potential" 🔥
