Took some time to get situated but we are back baby! Let's dive in. Unity dropped this banging report on mobile growth and monetization trends. Highly reommend taking a skim through. Some key takeaways for me were: • More users are watching ads • Strategy games are 80% IAP and Casinos are 90% with Puzzle 40% Ads and 40% IAP. • Strategy 7 Installs per 1000 impressions, Sims 15 Installs, and Action 11 installs. • Those who purchaes IAPs are more likely to buy again in first 30 days. So you have 30 days to build that spend behavior. • In the early stage, 7% conversion rates for Ad Removal IAPs, 4% for Subscription/VIP status • The higher the IAP rev of your game, the more likely your players will watch rewarded Ads (up to 13 ads per month) • Best rewards for Reward Ads are Additional Life/Moves, Daily Rewards, Gacha • Users acquired through Offerwalls have 3x more lTV than Interstitial Ads/Playable Ads • Offerwall-acquired users are 2-7x higher retention You gotta go to the report to get the meat of it. In other news, Discord opened up its Activities platform for all developers. With the hype around TON/tg games, I think there's also merit to look into Discord games.
