This regulation outlines the procedures for the grant of certificates of competency in the context of examinations conducted by the Board. Here are the key points:
1. Certificate Granting Process:
Certificates of competency will be granted to successful candidates after undergoing examinations as specified by the Board.
The form of the certificates will be determined by the Board.
2. Examination Exemptions:
The Board has the authority, under specified conditions outlined in the bye-laws, to exempt individuals from appearing in the examination or part thereof for certificate issuance.
A further provision allows the Board, for a specific period and under prescribed conditions, to exempt individuals with approved experience or qualifications in mining from certain examination requirements.

The Board will determine the times and locations for conducting the examinations.
4. Examiner Appointment:
Examinations will be conducted by examiners appointed by the Board.
