And in easy language what is CAS ?
CAS (Closing Auction Session) is the last 15 minutes of the market where the exchange collects all buy and sell orders, finds one fair closing price, and executes them together instead of instantly.
For all those who were thinking why market stopped here?
So here is the answer,
Because from 3:15 to 3:30 market auction will be there which is (CAS)
Get it in this way :
9:15 AM – 3:15 PM: Normal market → Orders execute instantly.
3:15 PM – 3:30 PM: CAS → Orders are collected first, then matched together.
After 3:30 PM: Market closes.
