Trading Plan vs Trading Strategy
Traders mix these up all the time. They are not the same thing. You need both.
πΉ What a Strategy Is
A trading strategy is the setup. It defines what you trade and why.
β’ The pattern or level you wait for
β’ The entry trigger
β’ The invalidation
β’ The target logic
Example: buy the retest of broken resistance only if volume confirms and structure holds. That is a strategy. It tells you when a trade exists.
What a Plan Is
A trading plan is how you run that strategy without blowing up.
It covers the business around the setup:
β’ Risk per trade
β’ Max loss per day
β’ Which sessions you trade
β’ Position size
β’ How you execute and journal
β’ What you do after a loss
The strategy finds the trade. The plan decides if you are allowed to take it.
How They Work Together
Strategy without a plan: you know the setup, then oversize it, revenge trade, and move the stop.
Plan without a strategy: you have rules, but no repeatable edge. You are disciplined at being random.
Both together: the setup qualifies, risk is fixed, and you execute the same way every time.
Why You Need Both
A strategy answers βwhat do I trade?β
A plan answers βhow do I survive while I trade it?β

Head& Shoulder Chart Pattern π
Referring to the chart above, we can see a head and shoulders pattern. Prior to this pattern there was an uptrend. Prices are rallying higher with greater momentum to create the highest peak which is called the head. The lower peaks on either side of the head are called shoulders. A neckline is drawn by connecting the lowest points of the two troughs on either side of the head.
As prices breakout and fall below the neckline at the right shoulder, this signifies a reversal in the prior trend. A downtrend now takes place.
In this chart formation, a sell position can be entered at the breakout point below the neckline.

STRATEGY #1: CONSIDER THE 1% RULE
βThe 1% rule is a simple risk management strategy that entails not risking more than 1% of your total capital on an investment or trade. If you have $10,000 to invest and want to adhere to the 1% rule, there are a few ways to do so.
βOne would be to purchase $10,000 worth of bitcoin (BTC) and set a stop-loss or stop-limit order to sell at $9,900. Here, you would cut your losses at 1% of your total investment capital ($100).
βYou could also purchase $100 of ether (ETH) without setting a stop-loss order, as you would only lose a maximum of 1% of your total capital if the price of ETH were to drop to 0. The 1% rule doesn't affect the size of your investments but the amount you are willing to risk on an investment.
βThe 1% rule is especially important for crypto users due to the market's volatility. It can be easy to get greedy, and some investors may put too much into one investment and even suffer heavy losses expecting their luck to turn.

#Trading_Mountain : How to reach the top step-by-step
πAs we all know, the road that leads to successful and consistently profitable trading is a pretty difficult and long one.
πIt takes years of hard work, patience, dedication, and experience to reach the top of the trading mountain. Many beginners make similar mistakes before starting their journey.
πAs it can be inferred from the graphical illustration, the mountain pattern connects dots and shows a realistic path of a successful trader to the top of the hill .
πAfter we have decided what our strategy will look like, we build a trading plan around it and make it a part of our lifestyle. We identify our trade entry criteria, risk management plan and so forth .
πAfter everything is went through and all hills are climbed, the top of the mountain will be reached. Of course, being a professional trader does not necessarily signify that there will be no failing trades and the win rate will always be above 90%.
