Taiwanese lawmakers engaged in physical altercations in parliament on Friday over reforms, just before President-elect Lai Ching-te takes office without a legislative majority.
Lawmakers screamed, shoved, and tackled each other, with some leaping over tables and pulling colleagues to the floor. Though calm briefly returned, more scuffles erupted in the afternoon.
