On Creating Content: If you're out of content ideas to share on your page, you can simply repurpose your previous content. What does it mean to repurpose content? Content repurposing is the process of taking an existing piece of content and recreating or repackaging it into new formats. We all know the struggle of constantly creating new content from scratch for social media. That's where repurposing your existing content can be a huge time-saver and help you get more leverage. Instead of creating always from the scratch, you can go back to content you shared in the past, make additions and subtractions where necessary, and you'll have a new post to share. ↓ Why Repurpose Content? 1. Reach New Audiences By resharing your content in different formats, you make it visible to people who may have missed it initially. 2. Reinforce Key Messages Repetition aids retention. Repurposing helps reinforce whatever you were trying to share with your existing audience. 3. Maximize Effort You've already put in the work creating great content. Repurposing saves you time, and allows you to get more out of your content. ↓ How to Repurpose Effectively 1. Audit Existing Content Check for valuable content you've shared that can be shared again. 2. Map Content to Formats Look at those content and brainstorm other formats it could work well as. For example, a written post can become a script for a video content, Twitter (now called X) threads, or infographic designs. 3. Adapt, Don't Duplicate Don't just recycle the exact same content verbatim. Repackage the core message into a fresh, optimized version of it. I know someone who was working hard and showing up strong, aiming to achieve better results. I even had to evaluate their efforts at some points, and this person was consistently doing what was needed. Regardless, there were initially no results to show for it. All the effort felt like a waste of time. At some point, the only option left seemed like quitting. However, I tried to convince them and ensured they continued. Along the lines, there was a BIG breakthrough. The results this person generated in a short period of time was so outstanding that I was mind-blown. I pondered on that experience, and there was a beautiful lesson. That lesson is eloquently expressed in Ecclesiastes 9:11 “I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.” You might be working hard and showing up strong right now, but then you might not see any results for it. It's not a pleasant experience; your current thoughts might be to quit. Before taking that option, confirm with those who have experience in what you're doing whether you're on track. If you are, don't give up yet. Hang in there for a while. Time and chance happen to us all. “I want to post regularly about my business, but I don't have content ideas. 🤦🏾‍♂️” Is this you? If that's you, then I have a solution for you. ↓ No doubt, creating content regularly can be tiring and stressful. It's often challenging coming up with ideas regularly because it feels like there's nothing more you can talk about. At this point, one thing that can rescue you: AI (Artificial Intelligence). Simply use an AI content tool – ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and any other you can lay hands. However, don't do it the dumb way. That is, you go to the AI tool, then say something like: “I'm a bag seller, help me create content for my audience.” I want you to use AI as a tool to help you never run out of ideas, and create better content while at it. How do you do this? When you go to any of these AI tools, simply indicate; - what your business is about, - who your target audience are, - and ask what problem they have. An Example: “Hello there, My name is Lucky James, and I'm a social media strategist. I teach individuals and businesses how they can leverage social media to grow their brand, and make money. I want to create valuable content that can help me attract and nurture this audience. Kindly help create a detailed list of the challenges they have, and would love to solve.” ↓ When you do this, a list of the challenges your target audience has would appear. Now, you can focus on creating content around these challenges. That way, you won't just be creating random content, but you'll be creating the kind of content that'll help you attract new followers, and get your existing followers to take your offers. If you don't talk about what you do, no one will know about it. I know the hard part for you is the aspect of engagement. You're always worried that irrespective of the efforts you're putting in to create content, no one is engaging on your posts. But guess what? That should be the least of your worries. Your focus should be on two things: 1. Creating “valuable” content 2. Posting them consistently If you're able to create and share valuable content, it would only be a matter of time before you grow and attract more followers, leading to more engagement. Most importantly, If you're not getting a lot of engagement right now, don't let it bother you so much. Though they might not be engaging, people are seeing what you're putting out. It's registering in their minds. The day they need that solution, or meet someone who needs it, they'll remember that you've been consistently talking about it. I hope this helps.
