If I'm gonna give Hori any credit, It's that I'm glad Deku never fought spoiler. All For One I mean I would have preferred if both All Might and AFO were not present in this arc but I'll take what I can get. Deku's archenemy is and always has been Shigaraki, and I'm glad that Horikoshi at least got this part right. Getting kinda hard to get excited for the final battle when it seems like Hori doesn't know what he's doing, but that's a whole different discussion. https://redd.it/18x3et4 @Boku_No_Hero_Academia_Topic

other he's saying he's a monster that can't be saved, if he's to be trusted then he has no regrets or remorses, but Izuku perceived otherwise back then, whether he ends up truly unsaveable or not is to be decided still. Shigaraki is pretty much in a constant internal conflict, and his surface-level lack of remorse or feelings shouldn't be taken at face value I also want to add that Izuku wants to try saving Shigaraki, but as he said in the first image, he also considered the possibility that he might not be able to and will have to kill him, and he acknowledges that he doesn't have a plan for it. Shigaraki nearly killed him, stole a Quirk from him, yet he still sees him as a human and wants to believe there's a reason behind the madness. He's very much not "holding back" either, at this point it's pretty clear that "Saving Shigaraki" matters will come once he's been neutralized. > For a theme about helping people, it has only convinced me that some people really do need to be put down. That's what makes Izuku an interesting protagonist, where an average person would treats Shigaraki like a monster and simply try to put him down, Izuku tries to help him, it's both a quality and a character flaw that has been regarded critically by several characters in the story (Katsuki, All Might, the Vestiges, all of class A) but it's what makes him unique and interesting to follow. TLDR : -No, Izuku most likely wouldn't kill Shigaraki even if he dusted Ochaco and even if he did, having a normal human reaction hardly makes him a hypocrite. \- No, Izuku doesn't make a special case of Shigaraki, he's extended his empathy to a lot of villains post PLW \-Shigaraki doesn't express remorse on guilt on a surface level but what he says isn't meant to be taken at front value, he perceives himself as a monster despite not being one. \-Wanting Shigaraki dead is understandable, but the fact that Izuku, unlike some readers, doesn't want that is precisely what makes him an interesting protagonist. \-Izuku is very much not holding back when it comes to brute strength. \-Izuku doesn't pretend his morals are perfect or that they're an ideal solution, they're just the product of his selfish desire to help people due to his selfless nature, and several characters criticize his ideals within the story too. https://redd.it/18ui37v @Boku_No_Hero_Academia_Topic

Deku's morals are fine, and they're actually a highlight of My Hero Academia's writing. Just saw a post complaining about Izuku being a hypocrite and his morals not making sense with the following arguments : >\-"If Shigaraki killed someone Izuku is close to, he'd kill Shigaraki" Which is literally the OP's headcanon, Izuku most likely thought that Katsuki and Grand Torino were dead during the PLW. And he saw Katsuki lifeless because of Shigarafo in front of him, Mirko, who he's teamed up with before bleeding and fucking maimed, and while Izuku was particularly enraged by seeing people he cares for harmed, there was no indication he'd kill Shigaraki both times he lost it, in fact, the very first time he expressed his desire to save him was right after he severely injured Katsuki and they ended up in the Vestige world. This talk in the Vestige World happened when Izuku was still comatose and had no idea whether Grand Torino and Katsuki had survived the War, yet he still wanted to save Shigaraki >\- Another thing. It feels like Shigaraki has done nothing to warrant this preferential treatment. Deku was quick to stop caring about Overhaul & Muscular. What did Shigaraki do, that the others didn't do. Like, I don't even see Shigaraki feel remorse/guilt. He is laughing, smiling and is enjoying people dying. Again, the response to that is painfully obvious and it's the entire point of his fights with Muscular, Nagant and Overhaul during the Dark Hero Arc : Izuku knows that there's a part of Shigaraki that's hurting because he was connected to him in the Vestige World during PLW. That's why he decides that he wants to try saving him https://preview.redd.it/867nyyia3g9c1.png?width=828&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b30f733951e18fdcb3504ddb157c6250f22441e When Izuku meets Muscular again, unlike the first time, he takes interest in why he is the way he is because he also wants to try to help him, it's only after Muscular tells him it's pointless that he decides to just get it over with, so he did very much try his best to save Muscular too, basic reading comprehension tells you that https://preview.redd.it/rqtwvs2y3g9c1.png?width=591&format=png&auto=webp&s=e47b087638ce39497b565bb47fbe9900e30e611d Same with Lady Nagant, Izuku's encounter with Shigaraki in the Vestige World made him determined to try to save the villauns he comes across, that's the entire point of the Dark Hero arc and it's sad that little people actually get that https://preview.redd.it/8q4iqqxq4g9c1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=588392f277baa15f989344d63972d5c6dbf0856d https://preview.redd.it/l9bwg4y65g9c1.png?width=837&format=png&auto=webp&s=4996020547e487fb8bda92e805fc68e6c1ac752d As for Chisaki, he quite literally did save him despite him fucking torturing a little girl that he very much is close to, not only that, but he tried to understand him too and offered him to honor part of Lady Nagant's deal, despite not having the first idea who it is that Chisaki wants to seee and why he cares so much, you have to have abysmal reading comprehension skills to think Izuku's empathy doesn't extend to all the villains he comes across. As for Shigaraki not expressing remorse or guilt, that's the importance of Izuku and Shigaraki meeting in the Vestige World, before that, Izuku had no particular sympathy for Shigaraki because Shigaraki, on a surface level, doesn't express any remorse for his actions, but because they wer directly connected in the Vestige World, he was able to sense that there was more to Shigaraki That's the pivotal theme of the Final War arc and the one that will decide Shigaraki's fate too, in the Final War Arc, there are villains who truly don't want to be/can't be saved like Dabi and All for One, villains like Toga who are desperate to meet someone who understands them, and Shigaraki is somewhere on the line between the two : One second he's whining about having friends, the

Question about the Rewinding Manga Spoilers When AFO steal's Hawks quirk, we see him lose it immediately. That's because he was already under the effects of the rewind bullet, which was preventing him from accessing new stolen quirks. Or, that was my understanding. But in Chapter 403, we see AFO use Stain's Bloodcurdle. Is this an inconsistency, or was he still always able to use stolen quirks even after using the rewind bullet? https://redd.it/18wr1g9 @Boku_No_Hero_Academia_Topic

As someone who hasn't watched/read mha, what are the best reasons to give it a try? I have been seeing this community a lot and wondering that if mha is good. However, I'm still wondering if I should watch it or not. I wanna know about these things 1) Is the story good? 2) Is it the fandom that does weird shit or there IS weird shit in the show? 3) Are the fights good? 4) Are the character arcs good? 5) Is the story good? Note - I like stuff like dragon ball, death note, jojos, so I'm into "that" weird stuff, but I'm not in the sexual "weird" stuff https://redd.it/18wphgk @Boku_No_Hero_Academia_Topic
