Guys I keep getting asked when launch. As you know I'm slammed with our move to Texas and have no time to manage a token. If you want I can deploy but would be on ETH and be community token. Market isn't in great shape so unsure how it would pan out though. Would need a pretty big response to convince me its worth it but said I'd put it out there. That's it man it's not just one government...not just one country. I feel in love with crypto from the motto "rules without rulers." What Bitcoin did goes so far over most people's heads. We for the first time in history have a protocol that is lateral. I waited for a long time for DeFi to happen and was excited to see it emerge, but what we have with smart contracts has almost null and voided the initial recipe. We started with a system that gave us a permissionless, censorship-resistant, neutral, open, and borderless platform and what we have now in DeFi is a permissionless, open, borderless protocol. We strayed away from the tenants. We've become so money hungry we forgot wtf all of this is. It's no longer "rules without rulers" it's now "code is law and the one pushing the code has all say." That is literally the antithesis of this entire movement. That is exactly why governments have gained so much power in the first place. WTF are we doing? We achieved "code is law" because the recipe of consensus mechanisms, blockchains, cryptography, and p2p gave us immutability, but look what happens on the flip side of that. We now have systems that are in the hands of people that can do whatever they wish. Sure, they can't change the code, but it's no different than a politician. We can use DAO's the same way we participate in elections, but there is only so much that can be changed. We have been afforded the ability to spin up overnight entrepreneurs, but it comes at a cost. Ok, fuck I'm rambling a bit here, but point is when you put absolute power in anyone's hand it corrupts absolutely. FFS we solved this problem of human intermediaries only to open up a huge can of worms with smart contracts. Decentralized permissionless state machines are the answer, but only when the variables are controlled. How much permission should an individual be granted when they have to be perfect on the instantiation of their purpose and they don't have the hindsight? Permission is a byproduct of consensus itself and until we can get away from things that are permissionless and go forth into an automated form that vets systems we will never be able to see this shit out. Yes, I strayed a bit on the tangent, but the point is people will always have control until we have consensus. How do we form societal regulation, government, or a fair system for all on a protocol that is permissionless? We have succeeded to introduce currency on top of this recipe, but IMO only in the form of BTC. Currency was always supposed to be the first application to the solving of the byzantine general problem ( a problem of trust...a problem of power), but what is the next step to use these mechanisms that CAN keep people honest to build a society with "rules without rulers?"
