gm, folks! The past week was quite eventful for the world of Web3. We, as HUMANS, are always interested in events regarding the HR side of Web3 operations. "Dot Collector" allows employees to judge each other based on parameters like "leadership," "inclusiveness," and "cooperation." The same system was used in Bridgewater, a company notoriously famous for staff turnover. Coinbase is yet to decide if the "radical transparency" is their cup of tea. Argentinian company Buenbid had to lay off 45% of its staff. In the case of Buenbid, it's roughly 80 people. Buenbit's CEO Federico Ogue noted that the cuts shouldn't be linked to the recent crash of UST. Aggregator layoffs.fyi announced that more than 15k tech talents had lost their jobs in May. It's possible that most laid-off folks were employed in Web2 companies. Who knows, maybe they'll find themselves in the Web3 world 🟐

He's back back back back again, y'all. Adam Neumann, the infamous CEO of WeWork, stormed the metaverse with news about raising $70 million for his new crypto start-up, Flowcarbon

Web3 is closing in on the world, and we bet everyone has a couple or two friends already pursuing a career in this shiny new tech branch. The buzz can trigger a major FOMO, and in this case, the emotion does require extra attention. Of course, it can be hard to decide whether you should consider pivoting your job with all this hype. Still, it's also narrow-minded to ignore it altogether ☟

Let's imagine you're a web3 company in demand of staff. Why spend at least 3 employees' salaries on a recruiting agency when you can easily attract new superstars from your community? Worse comes to worst, throw a party and dance your staffing needs away.

From establishing the value to getting a buck for recommending an ex-co-worker for a job opening: it seems like these days it's all about operating in networks ⁙ Web3, being the most forward-thinking idea there is, has open networks at its core, and it is astonishing how well the networked economy is embedded in the concept of decentralization.
