Italy Student Visa Checklist: Duolingo is No Longer Accepted! If you had asked me about taking the TOEFL/IELTS or Duolingo exams since late 2023, I have always advised you to take a credible exam like TOEFL or TESOL. Of course if you want to study! I believe this change will limit those who do not have sufficient English proficiency, at least at the B2 level. It would be better for these individuals to work on their English skills and consider studying once they have obtained a student visa, rather than solely thinking about getting a student visa as a way to other countries. From what I've observed, one of the main reasons students from Afghanistan sought asylum in other European countries was their lack of sufficient English language proficiency.
