انتهاء “بي بي ” من حفر بئرين لإنتاج الغاز بحقل ريفين البحري اعلنت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية انتهاء شركة بي بي العالمية بنجاح من أعمال الحفر واستكمال الآبار للبئرين الإضافيين بحقل غاز ريفين بالبحر المتوسط ، وذلك باستخدام سفينة الحفر “فولاريس دي.إس 12” التي بدأت أعمال الحفر خلال النصف الثاني من عام 2024. ويجري حاليًا تنفيذ أعمال التركيبات البحرية لربط الآبار على شبكات الإنتاج القائمة بالبحر. كان المهندس كريم بدوى وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية قد سبق وقام بجولة تفقدية يرافقه عدد من قيادات قطاع البترول في 20 يوليو 2024 لسفينة الحفر “فولاريس دي.إس 12” للوقوف على سير أعمال الحفر، ومن المتوقع أن يبدأ إنتاج الغاز من البئرين الجديدين في فبراير 2025 وذلك قبل الموعد المخطط له بثلاثة أشهر، بفضل خطة تعجيل عمليات الحفر والتركيبات. وبإتمام أعمال الحفر الناجحة بحقل ريفين، تنتقل اليوم سفينة الحفر “فولاريس دي.إس 12” من حقل ريفين لتبدأ أعمال الحفر الاستكشافي بمنطقة الكينج التابعة لشركة بي بي بالبحر المتوسط. إذ تستهدف أعمال الحفر البحث عن الغاز الطبيعي في طبقة الميوسين السفلى، ومن المتوقع الوصول إلى الخزان بحلول نهاية فبراير 2025.

يبلغ عدد السدود التركية 579 سدا يتجاوز مخزونها 650 مليار متر مكعب من المياه، ويعد سدا أتاتورك وكيبان الأكبر في البلاد. وفق خبراء فإن السدود التركية - وإن لم تكن السبب المباشر في الزلزال - فإنها ساهمت في زيادة قوة الزلزال الذي ضرب تركيا بقوة 7.8 ريختر في 6 فبراير 2023 لدرجة أصبح معها مدمرا حيث تقع هذه السدود في مناطق نشاط زلزالي خطير ونشط. يقول خبراء إن هذه السدود تؤثر على القشرة الأرضية وباطنها حيث تتسرب المياه من خلال الشقوق إلى داخل الأرض فتنزل إلى الأحواض الجوفية وتؤدي إلى عملية تمدد أو توسع في الكسور الموجودة في الأحواض وانزلاقها. حذر خبراء من أن انهيار واحد أو أكثر من السدود العملاقة في تركيا من شأنه إحداث دمار بمناطق شرق سوريا وغرب العراق، وأن الجدار المائي الطوفاني قد يجرف مدنا وقرى كاملة. بالقياس فإن ازدياد عدد الزلازل التي ضربت إثيوبيا والتي تجاوز عددها 52 زلزالا خلال الفترة يناير - نوفمبر 2024 مقارنة بعدد 3 إلى 6 زلازل سنويا في عام 2024. إلا أن إثيوبيا تعرضت خلال 14 يوما (الفترة من 21 ديسمبر 2024 إلى 4 يناير 2025) إلى 130 زلزالا، وأثار هذا الارتفاع في النشاط الزلزالي تساؤلات حول تأثيره المحتمل على سد النهضة. وبعيدا عن تأثير تلك الزلازل على احتمالات انهيار السد الإثيوبي، إلا أن حجم ووزن المياه المخزونة خلف السد تتسبب في حدوث مجموعة من الزلازل الصناعية التي تشكل ضغطا على القشرة الأرضية ارتباطا بنوع الصخور الجرانيتية المتشققة تحت جسم السد.
