Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it has launched a “heavy” ballistic missile attack on Prince Hassan airbase and a US Marine base in Jordan in response to earlier US strikes that killed civilians. Kuwait says its air defences are actively responding to drone attacks, while Bahrain says that its air defence systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed incoming Iranian drones. US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces completed a wave of strikes against Iranian targets on September 1 after what it said were attempted attacks by Iran against commercial shipping and American service members. Iranian state media reported multiple explosions across southern locations, including Asaluyeh, Jiroft, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Konarak, Chabahar, Jask, Sirik, and Lavan. ⚠️ 31 Years Since The Enforced Disappearance of Sheikh Abdulwali Qori Mirzayev Sheikh Abdulwali Qori Mirzayev was a highly influential and prominent Uzbek Islamic scholar and Imam who mysteriously disappeared in 1995. He is recognised as one of the most prominent independent Islamic figures in post-Soviet Uzbekistan. Born on 11th April 1950 in the Oltinko‘l district of the Andijan region in the Uzbekistan. Despite Soviet restrictions on religion, he studied Islamic theology, Arabic grammar, hadith, and jurisprudence secretly alongside fellow scholars. He memorised the entire Quran in just eight months. He became the Imam-Khatib of the central Juma Mosque in Andijan in 1989. His audio recorded lectures, Quranic exegesis, and lessons on books like Riyadus Salihin gained immense popularity across Central Asia. He heavily influenced the revival of Islamic education in Uzbekistan during the early 1990s. On 29th August 1995, Sheikh Abdulwali was scheduled to fly from Tashkent International Airport to Moscow to attend an Islamic conference. After entering the airport and passing through passport controls, he and his assistant vanished without a trace. Human rights organisations and his family say he was arbitrarily detained by the Uzbek National Security Services (MXX) due to his independent stance and growing popularity outside state control.
