My purity was my freedom not my prison.

Words called her to them like a mother calls her child, like a flame pulls the moth to surrender as though she would be the answer to every question and invent every little mashed letter into words that make sense.
Words of her father ever so present and alive since the day they were spoken shaped her thoughts into values and principles.
Words of her mother ever so cut-throat and true were ever so sparking in the air ever since there called to existence, revealing new truths as she grew older.

Oh vain Jane, she sits on the edge of her dressing table, staring into the void of a mirror that reflects nothing of who she is,
Oh vain Jane, she trims and styles her luscious hair as though it would matter how it was glided down her slender shoulders,
Oh vain Jane, she seems out of this universe in that satin dress that she seems to fit into perfectly, bearing a grave of mad lore,
Oh vain Jane, she wants to hear herself but she is met with silence and this silence wasn't worth a thousand words in the eyes of the beholder.

Must the bride be in veils to hide herself from spectators, cover the things that made her, her?
Must she be overshadowed by her outward beauty, convince everyone she is worthy to be in a white dress?
Must the groom expect another person to emerge from the piles of pearly garments, expect someone he has never seen to suddenly appear?
Must the groom be blinded by her irresistible face to finally take a step towards a life as one pair?

I am kind of glad that the only person you couldn't imitate was me. Everyone would think you are just like them, like you understand them, but darling you don't know a quarter of me and even if you did, you couldn't pretend to be someone like me.
