((CAUSES))🔴
1_MI
2_Cardiac electrical event
3_Respiratory arrest
4_Hypothermia
5_Loss of blood
6_Drug overdose.
((SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS))⚪
1_Unconsciousness
2_Absence of heart beat
3_Apnoea (cessation of breathing)

((EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT))⚫
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is only emergency management for these cases.
CPR: An emergency procedure for life support, consisting of artificial respiration and manual external cardiac massage. It is used in cases of cardiac arrest or apparent sudden death resulting from electric shock, drowning, respiratory arrest.
((NURSING MANAGEMENT))🔴
1_Apply a cardiac monitor.
2_Record electrocardiac events.
3_Immediately administer defibrillation.
4_Quickly attend to the clients airway and oxygenation.
5_Insert an oral (artificial) airway to maintain the tongue in a forward position.
6_Administer 100 percent oxygen.
7_Suctioning.
8_Starts IV (intravenous) lines for administration of resuscitation medications.
9_Catheterization should be maintain.
MEDICATION USED IN CPR (EMERGENCY MEDICATION):🔵
1_Epinephrine (Adrenaline)
Action: Increase systemic vascular resistance and blood pressure.
2_Atropine
Action: Blocks parasympathetic action, increases SA node atomicity and A conduction.
3_Sodium bicarbonate:
Action: Corrects metabolic acidosis.
4_Vasopressin
Action: Increase inotropic action (contraction) of heart.
