🌿Active and Passive Voices:
⚪️Active Voice:
In active voice constructions, the subject of the sentence performs the action, providing clarity and directness to the sentence. It follows a Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) structure.
✔️Example: "The chef (subject) prepared (verb) a gourmet dish (object)."
⚪️Passive Voice:
In passive voice, the subject is the recipient of the action, bringing the focus onto the action itself. It often employs a Object-Verb-Subject (OVS) structure and includes a form of the verb "to be" and a past participle.
✔️Example: "A gourmet dish (object) was prepared (to be verb + past participle) by the chef (agent)."
⚪️Structure and Formation:
🔺Active Voice:
Subject + Finite Verb + Object
✔️ Example: "The company (subject) launched (finite verb) a new product (object)."
🔺Passive Voice:
Object + "to be" verb (in the corresponding tense) + Past Participle (+ by + Agent, if known)
✔️ Example: "A new product (object) was launched (to be verb + past participle) by the company (agent)."
⚪️Emphasis and Focus:
🔺Active Voice:
Emphasizes the doer of the action, providing a straightforward and assertive tone.
