I hate my coworker BriccedUp3 @ Google First of all: he's a genius. He outputs 4x the code of the average person on our team. And he doesn't just flip flags, he also churns out huge, complex design docs throughout the year. In disparate areas, too. But, I hate him because he's IMPOSSIBLE to work with. I have a critical project that builds on top of his prior work, and therefore hinges on his input and help. Any time I ask him a question, I get a "yes" or "no" or a couple words response. Getting anything meaningful requires a 10+ question back-and-forth. I asked him for a code pointer once, and without context he just dropped me in a 10k+ line code base, at a code path called by many functions. Since he's near useless over chat, I've scheduled multiple 30 minute meetings with him to get answers. His IRL question answering is exactly the same as over chat. I ask, get a brief answer, and then silence until I coax more out. In a large meeting with him present, we (me and other attendees than him) were debating back and forth about the best way to solve something. Finally, someone ELSE points out, that it our way won't work because it won't gel with something. Coworker wrote that something. He stayed silent the whole time. WTF. I don't know how tf I'm going to deal with this. I can't complain to my manager, as he's not only is he an infallible rockstar, but there's the paper trail of him attending the meetings I set for him. If I continue to aggressively take his time, it's possible he'll eventually complain. Wtf do I do? TC: 400k @blind_feed

I hit $100k! zpVV15 @ New After saving for a few years I've finally saved $100k. This is by far the most amount of money me or anyone in the family has had growing up. 35k is my 401k and the rest I've been just sticking into spy, qqq (some QLD), sgov and a tiny bit in in my HYSA since the sgov is fairly liquid. I really think this book called "richest man in Babylon" helped me get there. I started with 5% of my paycheck going into a HYSA that I couldn't see and kept increasing that percentage rate. I'm excited cause i think the next 100k will be easier but huge win just nuts. TC 109K @blind_feed

They euthanize animals when they cannot find homes for them or when the shelter becomes too crowded to care for them adequately. Many animal welfare organizations and communities are working to reduce euthanasia rates and promote adoption and spaying/neutering to control pet populations. My younger one is in 5th grade and elder in 6th - and both her classmates, both boys and girls talk so much dirty stuff about sex, masturbarion and even sexual violence. Going back for parents MFhB25 @ Meta My parents are constantly pressuring us to come back and indirectly point out the reason as to take care of them. Growing up, they didn't want me to go out of my hometown ever, so I stayed with them. So they didn't focus on my education much and never told me to do big. We were like lower middle class. Dad used to earn 30K INR per month, enough for both my brother and myself. They wanted me to marry within the hometown and settle down. In my 20s, I realized I wanted to do better. I worked my ass off for a decade and am doing great now. I just started to do great tbh. For instance, my first decent job was at the age of 28. Until then, I did some odd jobs and struggled living in tiny rooms with a lot of people. I didn't get much help from parents. At the age of 33, I felt the fresh air. I feel like living finally, and all my hard work has paid off. Now my parents want me back. All of a sudden, I feel like falling off a cliff. I am scared. I got a family with a kid. I am working hard, so she gets everything I didn't, especially education. For instance support her financially if she decides to go to Ivy League. My parents, on the other hand, still think I shouldn't be doing all that for her, and she should fend for herself. Anyways, not to deviate from the topic. My thoughts are, I don't have any expectation that my kid will take care of me. I don't want her to. I want to earn enough that i can hire some services. Why do boomer parents not think that way? My parents are financially well off as all their life they didn't spend much. TC : 500K @blind_feed

Google L6 offer evaluation MwWq31 @ Apple Offer is 250/700/50 (base/rsu/sign on). They’re refusing to go any higher. Front loaded vesting and refreshers puts the average TC for 4 years at about 550k. Seems on the low end, but still better than what I currently make and is a level up. So I’m leaning towards taking it anyways. Current TC at apple includes stock appreciation. Without it, TC is around 400k. @blind_feed
