🚀 Introducing Dataset.ET The future of AI should speak Ethiopian languages. Today we are launching Dataset.ET — an open community initiative to build the largest dataset for Ethiopian languages. Why this matters: Most AI systems today barely understand Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and many other Ethiopian languages. Without datasets, AI will ignore our languages. Dataset.ET is changing that. What we are building: • Speech datasets • Text datasets • Community-validated language corpora • Open infrastructure for Ethiopian AI How you can help: 1️⃣ Record sentences using our Telegram bot 2️⃣ Validate recordings from other contributors 3️⃣ Help expand datasets for Ethiopian languages No technical skills needed — just your voice and your language. 🤖 Start contributing: https://t.me/dataset_et_bot 🌍 Learn more: https://dataset.et 💬 Join the community: https://t.me/dataset_et Together we can teach AI to understand Ethiopia. 📢 Community leaders & channel admins:
If you run a Telegram group or community and believe Ethiopian languages should be part of the future of AI, we would really appreciate it if you could share this post with your community. Your support can help thousands of people contribute their language and voice to this initiative. Thank you!

I honestly don’t see the point in changing stacks at this point. I learned all this stuff to build, and I’ll learn what I need when I need it. The goal of software is to make people’s lives easier or solve real problems. All the fancy stacks are just tools, we should focus more on the problem than the tools. I’m not saying tools can’t get in the way, but we’ve gone so far that sometimes the solution didn’t even matter. Now AI is here… so I guess we all learned something, or at least we will. @selfmadecoder

We had a get-together at youth service yesterday at our church. I’m actually a part of the art ministry and we were hosting the event. They made me play some games, and this is the clip 😊 @selfmadecoder

I’ve been editing a launch video for the past two days, and one thing I realized is that storytelling is a powerful skill. If you master it ... or use AI tools or work with someone who understands it.. it can make your videos way cooler 🔥 @selfmadecoder

I mean, if I were the teacher, I’d reach out to some of the guests from the Meri Podcast or even successful entrepreneurs on LinkedIn and ask them to hop in for a guest lecture. I actually believe most of them would say yes. Send them the course outline and actually sit down and learn with them 😁. This would create a lot of curiosity and excitement for the class and for entrepreneurship itself. It’s definitely better than being an egomaniac who terrorizes kids by saying they’ll fail just because you don’t like them. @selfmadecoder

Shouldn’t entrepreneurship classes in universities and colleges be taught by someone who’s actually done something in entrepreneurship? Or at least someone who has tried and failed many times at building his business ? 👀 @selfmadecoder

I think he said $7M ARR while the company is actually doing around $6.3M ARR. I don’t really think this should’ve been a headline tho. Honestly, I doubt this would even be a big deal in SF ... almost every company does something like this at some point. anyway, if the numbers I mentioned are right, this just feels like a journalist trying to earn a raise. I don’t think this is anything new. @selfmadecoder
