Repost fromย SAMU.ZA
Pictured in 1994 this man takes office, and 30 years later 500 000 murders are committed in South Africa. I'd like to remind everyone of the deep irony that most of these killings would be between the bantu population. Today the violence continues, and the bloody legacy of Nelson Mandela knows no end.

Since it's "freedom day" today, admin would like to share some figures with his dear followers: Global Crime Ranking: South Africa is ranked seventh out of 193 countries for criminality. Itโ€™s important to note that this ranking reflects the overall crime situation in the country, within the African continent, South Africa holds the third position in terms of crime, following the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Nigeria. Safety and Security Index: When considering safety and security, which encompasses criminality, political instability, violence, and unrest, South Africa ranks 144th out of 163 countries. Itโ€™s just ahead of Ukraine, which is currently at war with Russia. Specific Crime Categories: South Africa faces notably high rates of assaults, rape, homicides, and other violent crimes. These figures have been attributed to factors such as poverty, inequality, unemployment, and the normalization of violence3. Human Trafficking: As of 2023, South Africa remains on the tier two level watch list for human trafficking for the third consecutive year. Factors such as high unemployment rates and low wages contribute to an environment where human traffickers can thrive1. Rape: In 2010, South Africa had the highest rate of rape in the world, with 132.4 incidents per 100,000 people. This unfortunate statistic highlights the severity of the issue within the country. A survey conducted by the South African Medical Research Council in 2009 revealed that approximately one in four Africans admitted to committing rape. The abuse of women: South Africa has been grappling with a pervasive issue of gender-based violence. Some gruesome cases have shocked the nation, including incidents of brutal attacks, rape, and murder. In the second quarter of 2023 - 2024, South Africa recorded: - 10,516 rapes - 1,514 attempted murders - 14,401 assaults against female victims - 881 women murdered. Intimate Partner Violence: South Africaโ€™s rates of intimate partner violence are five times the global average. The country also has the fourth-highest rate of interpersonal violence-related femicide in the world. A statistical profile by UNICEF highlighted violence against girls, boys, and women in Southern Africa, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to address this critical issue3. South Africa, once a flourishing, Christian and Europeanized country in the southern tip of Africa, is today a hollowed out rotting carcass that stands as a monument to the failed ideology of Enlightened Liberalism.
