Throw back to the days of Soledar. Hot evacs on the front. Came across soldiers and civilians battling flames that were threatening a village. The fire was started by a Russian artillery shell.
I have briefly mentioned the project I am directing in Haiti. This is a bit of a outline of the situation in Haiti. Haiti is now considered one of the most lawless places in the world. Our project there consists of feeding prisoners and food drops in several outlying areas. Due to the high risk of kidnapping and murder we are not sending in any of our own staff. We are instead working through a couple who lives there and they have local staff who helps them carry out the work.
I'm super excited with our latest development in our fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $100,000 with this crowdfunding. To help us reach our goal we had a generous donor offer a $25,000 match grant so the next $25,000 that you raise will be match dollar for dollar.
Repost from 🇺🇦/🇹🇭/🇸🇸 Updates by John Heinzel 🇮🇪
Our main base has had no electricity since Breakfast, and for a lot of the day we had no cellphone service which made our work quite a bit more difficult!
We are alive and well. Internet is just starting to come back. Power is still out in much of the city. I’m believe we had 10 missiles hit Dnipro. Some where intercepted but still did damage when they fell.
What does pccr mean to me? Pccr is a crisis response organization both myself and my wife serve with. They specialize in Sharing the gospel in war zones and mass disasters all over the world. Currently my wife and I are working in Ukraine, but I am also directing a project in Haiti. In Haiti gangs have control of the port. Which means they have cut off fuel and food to the entire country. Everyone is at their mercy. We are working to feed people in several different zones throughout the country. However the need is so much bigger than what we are able to provide. Please consider making a fully tax deductible contribution to the organization. Please consider specifically funding the Haiti project. Even $10 could help feed a starving child. Together we can change the world. This is a link set up to support pccr. This is not a fundraiser for Lucy and I.
Second round of missiles is on the way. So far Dnipro hasn’t been hit much by the last round.
Just to clarify, this fundraiser is for pccr. It is not for us personally.
Well folks it’s that time of year? Uncle Sam is eyeing your bank account and sharpening his teeth. Ready to chew into you as the tax season draws near! 🥸🥸🥸 please consider making a fully tax deductible contribution to Pccr. I would especially appreciate if you would specifically donate to the Haiti page. This is a project I just took charge of and am very passionate about. I will be posting a more in depth update soon.
Thanksgiving update. My day consisted of unloading a truck load of food from CAM.
What am I thankful for? I am Thankful that the forklift was charged and I didn’t have to unload 20 tons by hand (our warehouse still doesn’t have electricity) I’m thankful our little house has power, gas, and water(the other base doesn’t)
I’m thankful for Gods amazing protection every single day. For Jesus blood that saves us from our sins.
I can say I’m blessed beyond measure.
Driving through Dnipro tonight. Traffic is backed up for miles. The city is dark, traffic lights aren’t working. Intersections are extremely treacherous. It’s crazy here.
