Armenia’s creative spaces, clubbing culture, and Yerevan’s vibrant electronic music scene are threatened, with spaces like THEØFFICE targeted and silenced. We stand strongly against the human rights violations that occurred at THEØFFICE on November 16 and any actions that limit freedom of artistic expression. This event is a community gathering and an open call to all collectives, artists, and individuals who believe in the power of connection, creativity, and freedom. It marks the beginning of a campaign that will persist as long as necessary to ensure our culture is valued, our voices are heard, and the freedom of our community is protected. Together, we can safeguard the future of Armenia’s cultural identity.

THEØFFICE-ը շարունակում է մնալ փակ և կնքված, ձեր անձնական իրերը գտնվում են ներսում։ Մենք շարունակում ենք անել հնարավոր ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի ավարտենք բոլոր իրավական ընթացակարգերը և կրկին վերաբացվենք։
Շաբաթ օրը, 2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 16-ին, ժամը 01:00-ի դրությամբ, ԵՐԵՎԱՆԻ ՔԱՂԱՔԱՊԵՏԱՐԱՆԻ ՆԵՐԿԱՅԱՑՈՒՑԻՉՆԵՐԸ տասնյակ ՀՀ ՈՍՏԻԿԱՆԱԿԱՆ ՈԻԺԵՐԻ ուղեկցությամբ, դաժանաբար եւ անօրինական կերպով մուտք գործեցին THEØFFICE-ի տարածք՝ «լիցենզիայի ստուգման» պատրվակով։ Վերջիններս, տեսախցիկներ և լուսարձակներ կիրառելով, դադարեցրել են ակումբում բոլոր գործողությունները, ենթարկելով ավելի քան 300 հյուրերին և մեր անձնակազմին անմարդկային վերաբերմունքի՝ ներառյալ ագրեսիվ խոսքի կիրառումը, մարդկանց արգելվել է դուրս գալ տարածքից, ավելին՝ ստիպել են պառկել հատակին և նույնիսկ ապօրինի կերպով անձնական խուզարկություններ կատարել, որի հետևանքով ստեղծվել է խուճապի և ահաբեկման մթնոլորտ։ Այս թշնամական հարձակումը հանգեցրեց THEØFFICE-ի փակմանը՝ ցավով արձանագրելով հերթական բռնի հարվածը Հայաստանի էլեկտրոնային երաժշտության ոլորտին և Երևանի աշխույժ գիշերային կյանքին։
Այս գործողությունները ՀՀ Սահմանադրությամբ ամրագրված մարդու հիմնարար իրավունքների բացահայտ խախտումներ են, որոնք հարվածում են ինքնաարտահայտման ազատությանը, արժանապատվությանը, կենսակերպին և մշակութային բազմազանությանը։
Մենք միանգամայն դեմ ենք և խստորեն դատապարտում ենք ԵՐԵՎԱՆԻ ՔԱՂԱՔԱՊԵՏԱՐԱՆԻ և ՀՀ ՈՍՏԻԿԱՆՈՒԹՅԱՆ ապօրինի գործելաոճը։ Վերջիններս, վարչական օրենսդրությունը օգտագործելով որպես կեղծ պատրվակ, ներխուժում են ակումբներ՝ առանց պատշաճ ընթացակարգերի կամ կիրառված զսպող մեթոդների նպատակների և արդյունավետության գնահատման։ Այս գործողությունները մեր հիմնարար իրավունքների անթույլատրելի և կոպտագույն խախտում են, որոնք արտացոլում են նույն հին մտածելակերպը՝ ստեղծել վախի մթնոլորտ և ճնշել մեր համայնքը։

YEREVAN MUNICIPALITY IS DESTROYING THE CULTURE!
THEØFFICE remains shut down and sealed, with all personal belongings still inside. We are working continuously to complete all legal procedures and reopen.
On Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at 1:00 AM, YEREVAN MUNICIPALITY REPRESENTATIVES, backed by dozens of RA POLICE OFFICERS, viciously and unlawfully entered THEØFFICE under the pretext of a “license check”. Armed with video recorders and flashlights, they froze all activity within the club, subjecting more than 300 guests and our staff to inhumane treatment, including the use of aggressive language, forcibly preventing individuals from leaving, unlawfully detaining them on the floor, and conducting invasive searches. This hostile raid created an atmosphere of panic and terror, ultimately leading to the shutdown of THEØFFICE - marking yet another violent assault on Armenia’s electronic music scene and Yerevan’s vibrant nightlife.
This is a clear violation of human rights protected by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, attacking freedom of self-expression, dignity, lifestyle, and cultural diversity.
We are absolutely against and strongly condemn the illegal practices of the YEREVAN MUNICIPALITY and the RA POLICE, who exploit administrative laws as a false excuse to raid clubs without proper regulatory mechanisms or adequate assessment of the objectives and methods used. These actions constitute a shameless violation of our fundamental rights and reflect the old mindset - to create fear and oppress our community.
These actions are unacceptable, we will not be silenced and will defend our rights!
We demand:
- THE RA POLICE: Open THEØFFICE, FULFILL YOUR DUTY TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF CIVILIANS
- THE YEREVAN MUNICIPALITY: Reform the laws in dialogue with cultural industries;
- THE RA GOVERNMENT: Deliver a comprehensive assessment of current municipal policies in alignment with Armenia's long-term strategic vision;
- THE OMBUDSPERSON OF THE RA: Provide a clear evaluation of systematic human rights violations embedded within RA Government’s institutional practices.
We call upon international and non-governmental organizations and partners, accredited in Armenia, in particular, to follow up on the process of reforms implemented in Armenia’s law enforcement system with their direct support.

His long and winding career has plenty of storied touchstones – seminal electronica LPs on Warp Records’ Artificial Intelligence series and Planet Mu, ambient epics on FAX +49-69/450464 Records, and a relentless wave of razor-sharp club 12”s across most of the iconic techno labels you’d care to think of.
For all these achievements, the here and now of Paap’s life in music is just as interesting. Via his Electric Deluxe label he champions some of the most daring techno variations in current circulation – artists such as AnD, Clouds and JK Flesh have trusted Paap with their most ambitious album projects.
In the live arena, Paap has long been a champion of hybridization – a philosophy embedded in the DNA of techno as progressive, experimental music. By embracing the open-ended possibilities of music technology, the lines between live performance and DJing have eroded for Paap as he glides between standalone tracks and hardware improvisation. This approach also defines his on-stage collaborations – the Collabs project with Chris Liebing, Zeitgeber with Lucy and Multiples with Surgeon. In all situations Paap and his kindred spirits employ their keen instinct for experimental techno and all-encompassing technical knowledge to deliver visceral experiences. His Electric Deluxe Presents events also serve as an extension to his own artistic vision and that of his label roster, gathering together high profile line-ups everywhere from Sonar to Berghain, Detroit to NYC, and of course all over the Netherlands.

| 18 | Hailing from an isolated town in the quiet confines of Bohemia, Tereza K. pursued her love of music and the arts from an early age, playing and singing in bands before moving to Berlin as a teenager. She soon took to DJing and collecting records, and spent most of her time searching for hidden treasures.
Her passion and enthusiasm led her to the Killekill label, where she began her career as aproducer and DJ. During her time at Killekill she has taken her ever-renewing bag of records all over Europe. Her first track called ”Epilog” was released on Killekill VA.
Known for her raw, unpredictable and diverse sets, she has performed at Berghain, Griessmuehle, RSO and ://about blank, to name a few Berlin venues, with standout performances at Fold, London.
She made her Boiler Room debut in 2017 for Krake Festival, which was followed by another Boiler Room in Zurich 2021. These sets brought her great recognition. During her time as a founding member of THC Agency, she debuted on a South American tour in 2019. Not to mention her breakthrough performance at HÖR, which has reached over two million views.
This performance made it one of the top spots on youtube livestreams. Other noteworthy livestreams were Arte and United we Stream. In 2021, after the release of her track ”Sleeping Paralysis” (which was one of the highlights on HET Records), she accompanied the track with a stunning music video directed by Laura Martinova. She later released her popular debut EP ”Silk Road” [HET Records] with remixes by none other than Matrixxman.
2023 started with the single ”Looking Glass” released on EXHALE and ”Stalker” for Keyi Magazine records. 2024 was followed by two releases on the new rising label SESH (from BCCO), included on ”Fly High” [SESHVA01]. She also released on another rising Berlin name Heisss VA ”Slumber Party” [HEISSVA001].

THEØFFICE is set to host one year anniversary celebration of Yerevan based record label and event series Back&forth. On October 11th, Scanner is welcoming kazmir00 & Yhii, the minds behind Back&forth, while Hopdop will be responsible for Scanner Bar. The night promises to be an intimate musical storytelling.
This series is an exploration aimed at conjuring a distinctive energy. The curation is rooted in a commitment to extended sets, prioritizing the establishment of a strong harmonic connection between the dancers and the artist, becoming a pipe for time travel-like experiences.
