ON THIS DAY IN 1979: West Indies needed 3 off the last ball to win the second ODI of the Benson & Hedges World Series Cup. The England skipper Mike Brearly placed all his fielders on the boundary ropes. Even the wicket-keeper, David Bairstow (Jonny Bairstow's father) was asked to stand back at the ropes. The West Indies team and the SCG crowd were unhappy with Brearly's move but it was well within the rules. It was only after this incident that ICC introduced field-restrictions in ODI cricket, eight years after the format had begun. What happened on the last ball? Well, Brearly's controversial move didn't have any significance as Sir Ian Botham clean bowled the number 11 batter, Colin Croft.🏏

I may be wrong about - transient RC and LR circuits + induced electric field. In last year syllabus also they didn't mention these terms.
