I see a lot of people complain about “American Arrogance” but I think a lot of nations in the West could do with a little arrogance about their accomplishments and history. Be proud and be obnoxious about it.

It’s been embarrassing to witness how many women- even among right-leaning ones- have a complete inability to practice second order thinking on this issue.

Many women seem completely incapable of separating themselves from other women and project their own experiences onto situations and therefore take any critique of those situations as “people hating women and mothers!” The Clancy case aftermath is an extreme version of solipsism. These types seem unable to understand even if say what Clancy did was awful, using THIS situation to discuss THEIR post partum struggles would make anyone assume they’re defending her or relate, even if you say “I’m not defending her but…” Totally incapable of reading the room. A woman murders her children and your first thought it “it’s time to talk about my personal struggles now, surely no one will assume I must sympathize with her!” Autistic levels of lack of self awareness. Completely self absorbed. Now isn’t the time, ladies. No, I don’t actually think all women using this case to discuss what I’m sure may be very real experiences after children are actually siding with a woman who committed triple infanticide but the lack of awareness that it would look like they were doing this is disturbing.
