It is difficult to look at the conditions in which people are forced to live after their houses were hit by shelling. Not all people can restore houses, they simply don’t have the means for it and thus forced to live like that for a long time. We met this man on the street, he showed us the house and we were shocked that he lives there. We immediately decided to help, and in a short time the new roof was completed. There is still a lot of work to restore it, but the house is protected and the roof does not leak anymore. The owners needed our help and we decided to help them by fixing the roof asap. Now the house is protected and living conditions have improved, which is especially important in winter. The 900 m2 roof of an 16 apartment building restored in Слатине / Slatyne village, Charkiv region. Since March, this house has been under constant shelling, but in June there was a direct hit to the roof. Due to the destruction, the roof of the building leaked for a long time, damaging apartments and ruining people's property. We decided to support the residents of this house and make a new roof for the building, thus we support a lot of families at one time. The area of the roof is large and it was not an easy job while severe frosts, snow and hard wind. Now the house already has a new roof and the residents are very happy. Moreover, their neighbors will now be able to return home. Many houses were damaged as a result of enemy shelling, so people are forced to live in difficult conditions. This house was seriously hit: not only the part of the building — the bathroom — was destroyed, but the roof was damaged as well. So it was especially important to cover the house in time to save it from the elements and water ingress, and thus preventing further destruction. Now the house has a new roof, and the owners are very happy and grateful for the help. There is still a lot of work ahead, but the main thing is that the house is preserved. Now the house has a new roof and wall. Grandpa is happy and very grateful for the help. There is still work to be done on the exterior and restoration of the interior, but the house is protected and the family will be able to return home.
