100 roofs of private houses restored in Charkiv region over the winter. In addition to private houses: — 900 m2 roof of an apartment building — 600 m2 roof of an outpatient clinic were also restored. House 100 Restored roof in Слатине / Slatyne village, Charkiv region. Grandpa Mykola and his wife Liubov live in this house. Liubov taught Ukrainian language and literature and retired as a school deputy principal. Grandpa Mykola eliminated the consequences of the accident at the Čornobyl nuclear power plant and was a combatant in the Afghan war. Grandpa was standing on the road next to the house when the projectile fell down a few meters from him. He miraculously survived, but the roof of their house was blown off by the blast wave. Now they have a new roof and the house is protected from further destruction. The owners are grateful for the help. Oleksandr also helps in rebuilding and unloading materials and with other works. Oleksandr has a simple, small house, typical for this region. We are very interested in preserving traditional architecture. Now with a new roof, this house is saved from further destruction. They decided to cover the remaining part of the house with a roof and turn it into a smaller house where they can live. The owners bought wood and made a wooden structure, we made a new roof covering. The owners still have a lot of work to do, but the small part of the house that survived now has a new roof. There are many such stories, people were left without homes or their houses were partially damaged. Serhij has been helping people in the village since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he devotes most of his time to this work and is constantly busy. He is interested in the history of his region and knows the area. During the hostilities in this territory, he kept order in the village. Together with other residents of the village, Serhij helps us in the restoration work. The roof of the house was damaged as a result of the shelling, and it was not covered for a long time. Now the family has a new roof, they are very happy and grateful for the help.
