Hi Folks.
If you’ve recently purchased herb seeds (from anywhere including here), please take particular note of the video above. Herb seeds can be minute and, if you don’t plant and water them the right way, they’ll just wash away. So take just a few minutes to watch so that you can get your money’s worth for your seeds

Hi Folks
Here are this week’s half price food storage specials.
Of particular interest this week are the baked beans - an EXCEPTIONAL addition to your food storage as they have protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre etc and very filling (which is important if you’re trying to fill hungry tummies . They’re also great if the power goes out cos you can eat them cold or just leave the can in the sun and it will heat up by itself - and the ring pull top makes it super easy to open. The PERFECT food storage item.
Can you tell I’m a fan?😁😁
So stock up while they’re half price 👍👍

FOOD STORAGE TIP
Raw Honey
Honey is an essential inclusion in your food storage - make that RAW honey.
Of course honey is a natural sweetener and it NEVER goes bad. Other sweeteners like sugar can go rock hard over time making them virtually unusable. Honey may crystallise in cold weather but is still perfectly good to use (crystals can be dissolved by gently warming).
Raw honey also has medicinal properties: eg soothing sore throats, a natural antibiotic, and an age-old cold and flu remedy when mixed with lemon juice.
From a nutritional perspective, honey contains vitamins and minerals which are important when you’re considering what nutrients are available to your family in your food storage.
So I strongly recommend including raw honey in your food storage. It will last a REALLY long time (so you don’t have to worry about checking use by dates or rotating it through your regular usage) so you can slot it in the pantry and know it’s goodness will be there ready for you when you need it.

Citrus Fruit Dry Inside?
Are the fruit on your citrus trees fry inside? Here are a few things that can cause this and how to remedy it:
- if they’re left on the tree too long after ripening (pick when just ripe)
- a boron deficiency (treat by sprinkling Borax around the drip line of the tree and water in)
- a sap sucking insect (spray the tree with neem oil to treat)
- lack of water
Then you can look forward to beautiful, juicy fruit.
