How often should you water and feed corn?
Corn is a plant that’s know as a “massive feeder”. That means it requires LOTS of regular fertiliser and also LOTS of water.
As a general rule, corn should be watered every day and fertilised either every two weeks with a liquid all purpose fertiliser or every month with a solid (pellets or spreadable) fertiliser.
This way you’ll get maximum growth, flowering and yield.
So feed your corn like it’s a hungry teenage boy and water it like it’s a drunken sailor.

What veges to plant in December (Southern Hemisphere)?
The following can be sown now in every region:
- capsicum and chillies
- corn
- cucumber
- pumpkin and squash
- spring onions
The following can also be planted now but only in the areas noted:
- beans (all except hot areas)
- beetroot(all except hot areas)
- cabbage (cool and temperate areas only)
- carrots (all except hot areas)
- celery (temperate and cool areas only)
- eggplant (all except hot areas)
- leeks (all except hot areas)
- lettuce (cool and temperate areas only)
- pak choi (cool and temperate areas only)
- parsnips (cool and temperate areas only)
- melons (all except hot areas)
- tomatoes (all except hot areas)
- zucchini (temperate and warm areas only)
So get those green thumbs out and build your self sufficiency and food supply with some home grown deliciousness 🥒🍅🌶🌽🍉
