A better election integrity “Cold Open” I have been exploring a bunch of rabbit holes lately and have come to the following conclusion. The mantra of the election integrity movement should NOT be: “Get rid of the machines.” Rather it should be: “Get rid of the computer code.” Code should not exist at any point in the voting process and by saying “Get rid of the code”, we ensure that no future “better” technology comes along that replaces the machines. No code in registration, no code in voting, no code in tabulation, no code in reporting. The conversation at the local level then becomes pretty simple. We do not want ANY voting solution that involves computer code.
