QR Codes – A New Threat to E-Voting Machines This is behind a paywall but I wanted to post it for those who need a more academic discussion of the topic. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7509529 #VoteNoCode

QR Code Hacks Wanna be a QR Code Hacker
no problem. https://www.hackeracademy.org/how-to-hack-using-qr-codes/ It is insanity to trust QR Codes for counting votes. Which group of “experts” came up with this idea? The same one’s who gave us the current technology
and the technology before that
.and the technology before that
..all the way back to the 1970’s. Enough of the experts. They have had 50+ years to get this right. Paper ballots, ball point pens, hand counts. Period. #VoteNoCode

Smartmatic’s Latest Technology Play – VSAP Voting Solution for All People
sounds so nice doesn’t it? Your vote is counted through an unreadable QR Code. So now, not only can’t you see HOW the vote is counted, you can’t tell WHAT is counted. This is all TRASH. Paper ballots, ball point pens, hand counts. Period. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGLE0fkBc4c https://www.smartmatic.com/us/elections/e-voting/los-angeles-vsap-solution/ #VoteNoCode

BMDs and QR Codes You vote on a touch screen and the BMD prints out a ballot that shows who you voted for, in plain English. But wait. All of that information is summarized in a QR Code. The QR code is what is actually tabulated and you have no way to know what the QR code says. Does it reflect your vote? Is there “extra” information in the QR code that compromises your identity? Has the BMD been hacked so that the QR code is fraudulent? Didn’t the technologists promise to figure it out THIS TIME with the latest wave of tax payer spending? Conspiracy theorist you say? Not so fast. https://dot.la/la-county-vote-2648436288/particle-2 #VoteNoCode

Warning: If you are going to criticize this channel for posting an interview with true Patriots doing their best to save this country just because YOU don't like the PODCASTER who interviewed them...you are gonna be banned. Period. This nonsense has to stop and we need to focus on more important matters. Thank you.

Microsoft E- Voting Solution : ElectionGuard https://www.electionguard.vote/ I looked up the PhD level thesis that provides the underpinning for the technology in this Microsoft solution. Yes, indeed Microsoft thinks it should take someone with a PhD to figure out how to count votes. Here is the thesis from 1996. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/wp-content/uploads/1987/01/thesis.pdf Clearly, this Yale PhD candidate is a brilliant man and a handful of people on this earth can read this thesis and follow along. I am not one of those by the way
. This is the ONLY important point to take away from this PhD thesis: It should not take a PhD (literally) to understand how to count votes. (funny not so funny) No code in our elections. Period. Full Stop. It doesn’t matter if it is open-source code or proprietary code. #VoteNoCode

Ballot Marking Devices – Can You Trust The Print Out? https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9152705 This is an incredible study from the IEEE. Simply put, they conclude if the BMD is controlled by a hacker, people due to their laziness almost never check the print out to see that the vote has been cast correctly. “We conducted the first empirical study of how well voters using BMDs detect errors on their printed ballots, which is a limiting factor to the level of security that a BMD-based paper trail can provide. Based on the performance of 241 human subjects in a realistic polling place environment, we find that, absent specific interventions, error detection and reporting rates are dangerously low. Unless verification performance can be improved dramatically, BMD paper trails, particularly when used by all in-person voters, cannot be relied on to reflect voter intent if the machines are controlled by an attacker.” Let me make a suggestion. Get rid of the BMDs. Provide serialized ballots on counterfeit proof paper. Hand me a ball point pen and count them by hand. Ask the Germans, they have been doing it for years and trashed all the machines.

NGOs Are Designing Mail In Ballots for the Government https://civicdesign.org/fieldguides/104-designing-vote-at-home-envelopes/ Since when is it OK for NGOs to assume the role of our government in any process related to elections, including ballot envelope design? CTCL, Democracy Fund, Ranked Choice Voting Resource Center
. These NGO’s are not “non-partisan” and they are having an undue influence over the use of mail in ballots. Where is the accountability?

People With Disabilities Voting – Some Hard Numbers from MIT https://medium.com/mit-election-lab/a-persistent-gap-barriers-for-voters-with-disabilities-67de1fd3510c According to MIT, in 2016, 35.4MM people had disabilities and were eligible to vote. 55.9% of them actually voted. In comparison, 62.2% people without disabilities voted. So, there is a percentage gap of 6.3%. 6.3% of 35.4MM is 2.2MM people with disabilities who did not vote due to the “gap”. Roughly 137MM votes were cast in the US in 2016 for President. 2.2MM / 137MM = 1.6%! You don’t change the ENTIRE system to accommodate 1.6% of the population. You refine the system to accommodate those folks. Stated a different way, let’s use no excuse mail in ballots as an excuse to accommodate 2.2MM people in the US while simultaneously disenfranchising millions of other people due to mail in ballot fraud. MIT, where is you sensibility? #VoteNoCode

US Title 52 – Penalties for Fraud in Registrations https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCODE-2020-title52/pdf/USCODE-2020-title52-subtitleI.pdf 10307 Prohibited Acts ( c ) - False information in registering or voting; penalties. “Whoever knowingly or willfully gives false information as to his name, address or period of residence in the voting district for the purpose of establishing his eligibility to register or vote, or conspires with another individual for the purpose of encouraging his false registration to vote or illegal voting, or pays or offers to pay or accepts payment either for registration to vote or for voting shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.” Said a different way, the maximum penalty is $10,000 and/or 5 years in prison. Interesting wording don’t you think? I would much prefer it said: Shall face a minimum of $10,000 fine and a minimum of 5 years in prison. #VoteNoCode

Voting on Paper Critics – Taking Advantage of Disabled People The people who don’t want you to vote on paper (Vote Amish) have already stated why they don’t think it will work. Much of it has to do with making it easier for disabled people to vote. Here is one example of critics of voting on paper: https://www.brennancenter.org/sites/default/files/press-releases/The%20Machinery%20of%20Democracy.pdf Limited Flexibility to Meet Special Needs Tactile Ballots for Voters with Visual Impairments Inaccessible Auditory Instructions Paper Ballots Inaccessible to Voters with Motor Coordination Impairments Scanners Inaccessible to Many Voters with Visual, Mobility, or Motor Coordination Impairments Let me use an analogy. If someone is disabled and needs a wheel chair, you build them a ramp. You don’t outlaw stairs for everyone else. Give me a break. This is such an obvious attempt to use disability law to poke holes in the integrity of our voting systems and drive us to using more mail in voting and more technology. #VoteNoCode

Biden Executive Order 14019 – March 2021 Promoting Access to Voting: Recommendations for Addressing Barriers to Private and Independent Voting for People with Disabilities https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/03/07/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting/ NIST has now developed a new DRAFT standard to support this EO https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/SpecialPublications/NIST.SP.1273.pdf The period for public comment is over. National voter registration database More electronic equipment More mail ballots Let me ask a simple question. Why do we have to change the ENTIRE voting system to accommodate people with disabilities? #VoteNoCode

Product Advisory Notice – Dominion – Feb 2022 https://www.eac.gov/sites/default/files/voting_system/files/PAN%20-%20ImageCast%20Precinct%20-%20Provisional_1.pdf “The ImageCast Precinct (“ICP”) under certain circumstances may interpret standard ballots as provisional ballots during the scanning process. Once the ICP exhibits this behavior, the ICP will then interpret all subsequent ballots as provisional.” Wait, what? Did something like this happen in CO recently during the logic and accuracy test? Just asking

EAC Investigation Report – Dominion 5.5-B – Williamson County TN https://www.eac.gov/sites/default/files/voting_system/files/EAC_Report_of_Investigation_Dominion_DSuite_5.5_B_0.pdf This describes a problem with the tabulators: QR code signature mismatch. “The direct cause of the anomaly was inconclusive. Based on the investigation, it’s reasonable to conclude that the anomaly is related to the imported D-Suite 5.5 election definition used on the D-Suite 5.5-B system.” The problems were “fixed” in these to ECOs in March of 2022.
