If it weren’t for her life and work, half of the humans in our society would not be able to get credit in our names, enter many professions and universities, or have recourse against domestic violence. Critics can pick on ‘feminism’ all they want but they must face these historical facts. Steinem — whom I met several times - was a massive influence on me as a young activist. I love a lot of what you do but here respectfully you have no idea what you are talking about. Gloria Steinem was focused her whole life on equal legal rights for women. Your whole list of the alleged harms ‘feminism’ did to ‘femininity’ and to the family are due to larger cultural shifts - blame Hugh Hefner maybe for many women giving up on men as providers and faithful partners - and Steinem never attacked to role of moms or homemakers EVER. Your target perhaps is Andrea Dworkin, a completely different person with a radically different philosophy. Read Steinem’s actual work and please learn about feminism instead pf caricaturing it.
