Article to Instagram image Many people use Instagram as an additional or main source in their marketing. It turns out the process isn't convenient because it's time-consuming to convert useful information into images. You should google for the right image dimensions for Instagram, then design those, fit huge amounts of info there. What if we had a tool for that? You put information there and the tool converts it to the images that can be posted on Instagram. A few clicks instead of a few hours for someone.

Real-world opportunities from Reddit posts. I'm attaching links to the source posts with comments below each opportunity. Basically I'm an outbound call salesman, and I make about 100 calls a day. I don't absolutely hate it, but it's something I could definitely streamline if I could talk to someone about automation. For example, i leave about 40+ voicemails a day and I was wanting to make an mp3 file I could just play when i get a voicemail. Source ———————————- Over the last few years I have developed a bit of an anxiety over unknown callers to my phone. This actually all stems from my mom passing away at the hospital and the hospital trying to reach me from an unknown number during CPR.How can I make it so that whenever someone calls my personal cell phone number, an automated voice message says, to speak with “MyName” press one, And then my phone would ring. This would eliminate 80% of the phone calls that I receive a day. I just want the caller to have to press a number to then be connected to me. Source ———————————- This is always a tedious process. I have to create a case, copy and paste the text into the Salesforce email, attach the Monthly Summary Statement, copy and paste the email address of the account contact and send. Then I have to notate in the comment section that I sent the monthly summary statement (current or past due). Finally I close the case. The comments gets transferred over to our database overnight. There has to be an easier way to do this! Even just using Outlook alone would be easier, having to do this in Salesforce just doubles the work but we are required to use Salesforce to send out emails. Source ———————————- For work I have to do a simple task on a daily basis that just screams: "automate me!" What I have to do: I have between 1 and 6 CSV files with slightly different names that I open in Notepad++, convert to UTF-8 and then save. So I have two questions about this process: Can this be automated? (I'm pretty sure it can) Can I do this with Python and is this a good exercise for a complete beginner? If there is another programming language that is better suited for this I would still like to try it with Python for training purposes. Source

Move to listen An app that plays podcasts only when you're moving. It's useful when you go running or do some physical activity. To finish a podcast you need to keep moving, there's no other way. The same logic may be applied to music. If your physical activity doesn't require permanent movement, you can configure allowable pause time. Say, you have 1 minute to rest and if you pause more than that time, the app stops playing podcast.

Educational platform A service that connects teachers and students. For teachers, the service helps to create educational materials without a need to promote them and find the right audience, that relies on the platform. For students, it helps to find educational materials, aggregates the courses. Therefore I, as a student, don’t need to grab a math course from Harvard, a biology course from Coursera and so on. The service helps to build an education plan. Why does it matter? Fundamentals are great to learn in school (mostly), but the further education in universities/colleges can be boring as there is a lot of non-practical, outdated information. Such situation creates an opportunity for the best teachers to teach other people who really need and want to be educated.

Auto presentations A tool that converts information into digestible slides of a presentation. It should split the data wisely and extract the important parts. In such a way, it delivers only information that people would benefit from the most. Why: it takes time to extract the important pieces of information from texts, charts, etc. Then, you need to pick a nice design for slides, fonts, colors. It can be automated.

Items rent from locals A platform where you could rent something from local people, not businesses. Say, you want to drive an electric bicycle, but don't want to buy it. It's simpler and cheaper to rent it from a local person that lives in 3 mins from you. There will be a rating, so you can see if a person you rent to/from is reliable.

Real-time book quotes A social app where people could share interesting quotes from books they're reading. As a user, I can add more context to the quote, describing my point of view on the quote. The users can see such quotes and notes in a real-time feed. Hence, it can be a source for them to find an interesting book to read. By clicking on a user-picked quote, I see other quotes and notes for this particular book. Or, for this particular user. I can follow users.

Training together Training programs (runners, cyclists, etc.) for couples with different levels but who want to train together. It should provide data synchronization across different devices - watches, desktops, smartphones. Why: such apps could encourage couples to train together. Or with friends. To transform training into a competition.

Health inspector An app that allows you to save and keep track of clinic records/visits, illness history. All the written records can be converted to a digital format, so it's okay when you forget the paper clinic records. The app could do that. The app is targeting the customers convenience, although there are ways to cooperate with businesses(clinics).

Modernized Floor Cleaning Equipment Problem: Dirty floors suck. This is a globally recognized phenomenon: according to Grandview Research, “The global floor cleaning equipment market size was valued at USD 5.38 billion in 2018 and projected to expand further at a CAGR of 8.5% from 2019 to 2025.” But what are the innovations and opportunities in this otherwise dirty market? Solution: In addition to sizing an absurdly large market, during their Floor Cleaning Equipment Industry Report, Grandview Research identified a few other notable trends. Namely, High-end cleaning demand: “Rising demand for high-end cleaning products is among the key factors responsible for the growth of this market.” This point has only been exacerbated by the global consciousness of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact the global market is expected to grow at 11% per year over the next decade: largely due to germ-consciousness. Electric Machines: “The advent of electric machines and handles due to technological advancements in mopping system will also help boost the market growth.” In the consumer space, this includes products like the “Roomba,” which vacuums houses or apartments automatically. However, there is also the rise of other products like floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, floor sweepers, power washers, and more. All of these have the potential to be digitized. Ride-on and No-ride Models: “Moreover, the introduction of ride-on models of floor cleaners has resulted in increased demand, thereby fueling market development. The ride-on models are 60% more efficient than other products due to the reduction in forward motion by the operator, which reduces the intensity of the task.” While Grandview focuses on ‘ride-on’ models, my hunch is that the next generation of robotics will be entirely remote. Much like how Cobalt Robotics is on a mission to provide seamless robotic security services for all situations through self-driving and self-acting robots for security, this business would ideally do the in the cleaning space. Consumer Complexity: This market trend, one I completely overlooked, is best described by Grandview: “Use of different types of flooring materials also affects the product demand. For instance, flooring materials used in hospital wards, such as wood blocks or strips, require high maintenance and hygiene levels as these materials are porous and thus, the surface can have split between the strips or blocks retaining dust particles. Thus, increasing usage of flooring materials, such as of natural wood, stones, and rubber materials, has widened the scope of application for advanced floor cleaning products.”

Earth Printed Houses Problem: Building houses require unique time, money, and resources even though much of the process is deeply repeatable. While many companies are attempting to 3D print houses, many of them require transporting resources from around the world to be printed. Are there innovations on this model? Is there a way to print houses more sustainably? Solution: The business would develop technology that takes existing earth and repurposes these natural resources to create houses. The 3D printed house movement is not new, in fact many news organizations like CNBC and The B1M have featured it globally to millions of viewers. Where this business would innovate is by trying to create zero-waste (and zero-import) printed 3D houses. Just this week, I learned that “Mario Cucinella Architects and Wasp, Italy’s leading 3D printing company, have completed the first house to be 3D-printed from raw earth.” They utilized a process called Tecla (technology and clay) to create eco-sustainable and environmentally friendly production by using local soil.

Google Trends Analyzer Google Trends seems like a very promising product, but unless you know what you're looking for, it's hard to find interesting insights. I wish that there was a tool that would aggregate relevant trends and would allow me to easily search for relevant keywords rather than having to guess what may or may not be trending.

Shareable bookmarks A social app where users share their useful bookmarks for websites. They are be grouped by folders, labels, tags, and are searchable. Users can follow each other to read their bookmarks feed. The service can be integrated with the browser bookmarks addon. One nice feature that might add more interactivity among the users is the possibility to ask others what websites they could recommend for X or Y. Such a service requires you to attract users when there is not much activity(because of the lack of users) - the chicken and the egg problem that occurs on social platforms and marketplaces.

VR practice for medical personnel A platform that provides an environment to practice skills for doctors, nurses in virtual reality together. Thus, they can enhance their knowledge before going to hospitals. Also, it's great to do so virtually and together. It's not only for practice but for lecture sessions or even conferences where people not only tell but show something in VR for many people.

Program auto-creator A tool that transforms your idea into a product sketch in no-code. You have a bunch of automation, some parts with code where you need low-level stuff, somewhere you have integrations with other tools, other parts are complete no-code. Of course, the quality of such a sketch depends on how well you describe an idea and how the result should look and behave.

Datasets normalizer A tool that helps people who create, manage, use datasets to normalize them to decrease the time they spent on such work. Good ML models are good data, and most of the time people spend on normalizing it: to remove duplicates, extremely high or low points, empty values, and so on.

Semi-virtual notes A notebook where each page has a unique id that can be scanned by an app on a smartphone. The app can link a real notebook page to a virtual space where you also could add notes. Besides that, you can have handwritten notes mirrored in a virtual space, thus you're able to manage them: correct, add more context, notes, etc. While creating a notebook with the id on each page can be overhead, we could simplify the flow. A person may use a usual notebook and the app scans a whole page for signs it will use an id for the page. Also, a user can create a unique sign that will be recognized.
