SEC is about to approve ETH Futures ETF - this matters a lot for a Bitcoin ETF Some had speculated after Grayscale’s court victory that the SEC would withdraw its approval for Bitcoin futures ETFs. The court ruled that it was illogical to approve a futures ETF and not a spot ETF with the underlying asset to which the futures were tied. If they’re approving ETH futures ETFs then it hardly makes any sense that they would then withdraw approval for Bitcoin futures. Only 2 options remain: 1. Come up with some new reasons for rejecting a spot $BTC ETF. 2. Approve a spot BTC ETF.
