The absolute psycho who had this Aspire 1800 laptop before me must have thought it would be an absolutely genius idea to replace the charging port with 2 exposed wires secured with JB Weld straight to the motherboard.
This is honestly heartbreaking. I originally thought this was just removable normally but... I don't think I have ever been this livid at a "repair job" before. It really sucks because I have been looking for an Aspire 1800 to add to my collection as it's one of the few rare models of LGA775 laptops that were released to the consumer market circa 2004. I saw this at a local computer store and bought it. They take old laptops from scrapyards and grab the good parts out of em, so this was a barebones machine. After this... I don't know if I shouldn't expect the worst anymore.
