The four spearheads became tow after Russian Army secured new positions along the border:
- From the left spearhead Russian forces took control over Krasne, Morokhovets & Oliinikove thus reaching the northeastern outskirts of Hlyboke.

Four spearheads were opened by Russian Army to penetrate into Kharkov oblast:
- I. Strilecha, Pyl'na & Borysivka were taken by Russian forces. Clashes continue around Krasne and in the northern outskirts of Hlyboke.
- II. Russian troops entered in Zelene. Clashes continue there.
- III. During the last hours Russians crossed the border in the direction of Starytsia.
- IV. The localities of Ohirtseve & Pletenivka were taken by Russians. Currently an operation to capture Vovchansk is taken place from three axis: from the northwest there is fighting in Hatyshche. From the north the troops reached the airfield and meat processing plant. From the east the troops managed to seize the heights overlooking the Vovcha river and entered a large part of Tykhe.

34 Today's attack involved light infantry and some armed vehicles (some destroyed) forcing the Ukrainian army to withdraw from at least 11 settlements.
There are no indications of a large-scale operation at the moment. There are not enough troops in Belgorod to launch an offensive of that caliber, which would of course aim to take the city of Kharkov.
Reports that Russian troops are also amassing in Sumy further reinforce this idea. Extending the front line by two more oblasts makes no sense given the war of attrition situation on the eastern front.
Why then these attacks? There are several reasons:
- Limited reconnaissance operations along the border with the aim of gathering information from the Ukrainian defenses under construction.
- Propagandistic function: Russian President Putin's National Day speech made it clear that the conflict situation had changed in favor of the Russian forces, who had gone on the offensive. In order to demonstrate this change, Russia intends to move the fighting from Belgorod to Kharkov by creating a buffer zone along the border.
- Strategic function: the reactivation of Russian attacks in this zone since 2022 further enhances the psychological effect of the troops stationed in Belgorod: to divert more Ukrainian resources from the east to prevent a Russian attack. The attack finally took place and already Ukrainian troops from the Avdivka front are already heading north, which would further damage the precarious situation of Ukrainian troops to hold the front in the Donbass. | 78 | 0 | Loading... |

Situation on northeastern front: During the morning the Russian army went on the offensive in Kharkov oblast. After several hours of fighting the Russian forces managed to enter a number of villages:
- In the Kharkov raion the locality of Hoptivka and Kudiivka were reached. On the other hand the localities of Strilecha, Krasne, Pyl'na and Borysivka were occupied. This area is the most “solid” of the new front. Further south, Zelene was also reached.
- In the Chuhuiv raion the situation is more confused. Russian troops reached Ohirtseve, Hatyshche and Pletenivka, reaching the northern outskirts of Vovchansk, which has not yet been stormed, but considerably shelled. Further east there was a Russian advance toward Zybyne, but it must be cleared up.
