عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال :
قال رسول الله ﷺ :
((لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أحَدُكُمُ المَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ ، فَإنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا فَلْيَقُلِ :
اللَّهُمَّ أحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي ، وَتَوَفَّنِي إذَا كَانَتِ الوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي))

عن عبدالله بن أبي أوفى رضي الله عنه ،
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال :
"أيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ العَدُوِّ وَسَلُوا اللهَ العَافِيَةَ ، فَإذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاصْبِرُوا ، وَاعْلَمُوا أنَّ الجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلَالِ السُّيُوفِ".
ثُم قال :
"اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الكِتَابِ وَمُجْرِيَ السَّحَابِ وَهَازِمَ الأحْزَابِ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ".
صحيح البخاري.

عن النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما ،
عن النبي ﷺ قال :
((الدُّعَاءُ هُوَ العِبَادَةُ))
ثُم قَرأ :
﴿وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ﴾
رواه الترمذي.
