Important Disclaimer:
As per the ICAI SOP, the student whose body temperature is above a certain level, then you will NOT BE ALLOWED to enter the exam hall.
Now, as per Hon'ble SC order the students will be allowed to opt out for any covid related complications subject to medical certificate by registered medical practitioner.
Therefore, In my opinion candidates having covid symptoms will be allowed to opt out but MEDICAL CERTIFICATE is a Must.
But, the ICAI Opt Out window has not been updated yet even after the verdict of the Hon'ble SC. Therefore, there is still no option for choosing Covid Related Ailments/symptoms. Here is the main confusion arises.
THEREFORE, STUDENTS ARE ADVISED IF THEY ARE SYMPTOMATIC BUT NOT CONFIRMED COVID POSITIVE, THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY CONFIRM THIS POINT WITH ICAI HELPLINE WHETHER THEY SHALL BE ALLOWED TO OPT OUT OR NOT.
Opinion: In case of absence of any such option, Students HAVE TO choose the First option i.e. Having Covid Positive and submit the medical certificate along.
