Dear Graduating Students, We want to inform you about an important update regarding the residence permit policy for graduate students who have completed their studies and graduated from the university. We are pleased to announce that the previous requirement of canceling residence permits within 10 days after graduation and applying for a new residence permit has been removed. Your student residence permit cards will remain valid until the expiration date indicated on them. Before your student residence permit expires, you can visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration or call the 157 Immigration Office Solution Center for detailed information. After graduation, your student residence permit card will not be canceled, and it will remain valid until the expiration date written on the card. We understand that you may have questions or need further information. To apply for a new residence permit according to your purpose of stay, please visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration before your card expires to obtain detailed information. For students who have frozen their registration, canceled their registration, or failed to renew their registration, it is still necessary to apply for a residence permit of a different type within 10 days that is in line with the purpose of their stay, apart from the student residence permit. For detailed information, you can visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration or call the 157 Immigration Office Solution Center. *Registration freezing/Disenrollment*: If you have applied for a registration freeze and intend to continue staying in Turkey, please contact the Student Affairs Office to determine the exact date of your registration freeze and, within 10 days from that date, apply for a residence permit from the appropriate category that aligns with your purpose of stay, other than the student residence permit. For detailed information, you can visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration or call the 157 Immigration Office Solution Center. *Dropping out of university*: For students who have canceled their registration, if you intend to continue staying in Turkey, within 10 days from the date of cancellation, apply for a residence permit from the appropriate category that aligns with your purpose of stay, other than the student residence permit. For detailed information, you can visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration or call the 157 Immigration Office Solution Center. *Students who have not registered for courses*: For students who have failed to renew their registration, if you fail to renew your registration and enroll in courses within the specified period mentioned in the academic calendar for any reason, your student residence permit card will be canceled within 10 days. If you intend to continue staying in Turkey, within 10 days from the course registration date specified in the academic calendar, apply for a residence permit from the appropriate category that aligns with your purpose of stay, other than the student residence permit. For detailed information, you can visit the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration or call the 157 Immigration Office Solution Center.
