Current: Closing prices are calculated basis the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) of the last 30 minutes of trading from 3:00pm to 3:30pm
New: Closing prices for F&O stocks will be calculated basis a 20 minute auction session from 3:15pm to 3:35pm
Applicable only to F&O eligible stocks.
Implication: Since the closing price may be different from what traders see on the screen at 3:30pm, this may require adjustment to strategy for option writers and arbitrageurs.
