AI for Workouts 🏋️‍♂️ I noticed that if you have control over something through statistics, it’s easier to achieve the desired results in that area, whether it’s tracking finances, calories, customer inquiries, etc. I decided to take my workouts more seriously and keep a detailed journal of each session to achieve better results. However, carrying a notebook and making notes between sets or even taking notes on the phone seems like overkill in terms of the time spent on recording. Can AI help me here? Of course, it can. I created a GPT's for keeping a workout journal, tested it in practice, and was very pleased: between sets, I dictated the number of reps, weight, RPE (subjective difficulty rating from 1 to 10), and notes in a free form by voice. It took only a few seconds and wasn’t a hassle at all. At the end of the workout, it generates a summary table, an example of which you see in the image. I save the tables in Obsidian. Now I have accurate data for each set of each workout, and I get it very easily without any stress. Then this data is sent back to the AI, which gives recommendations on changing weights, reps, and exercises based on my goals. Pretty cool, right? I made such a GPT's in about 5 minutes with the help of another GPT's that generates prompts, and the workout plan was created by a GPT's fitness trainer. Keeping a journal was also his idea, and he told me about RPE 😅 How convenient is this compared to Google, where you need to click links and find the information you need from articles that are always trying to sell you something. What’s happening now: different GPT's for different tasks, needing to write prompts, copy and paste things somewhere, send data to ChatGPT for analysis — this is the stage of AI assistants’ development comparable to the internet’s early days with dial-up modems and clicking a special icon to connect to the internet. A healthy person’s personal assistant will be in the context of everything happening in our lives. It will read news for us, handle chats, answer calls, make orders in stores, and only tell us the information we want to hear from the outside world. And, of course, we won’t need to think about any prompts, copying, pasting, or transferring anything. Everything will be done, in the early stages of such agents, with voice commands. We are now at the point where for this future to come, we don’t even need to do anything; it’s approaching us faster and faster every day. #AI
