WhatsApp has globally rolled Channels, whether you like ❤️ or hate 👿
Channels is a new place to get more from all your favorite people, organizations and more. To access Channels, go to the Updates tab on your WhatsApp app.
I personally like this feature as it ensures privacy and does not reveal your contact details with anyone 😊 Channels make it easy to share timely updates and recommendations on anything. You can receive these updates only from the channels you follow or care about. Unlike groups, where by default you get all the "junk" delivered on your phone!
I have created two channels. If you wish to stay connected, do join them:
➡️ Pharmacy Careers: https://bit.ly/464Ju7A
➡️ Learn Medical Writing: https://bit.ly/3LCgmfR
The purpose of these channels is to share the information you need most and no BS 😄

Each one of us can mentor someone 😊 I started free mentoring sessions and then started charging for my time. Would you go to a doctor and get an appointment for free? No right? Similarly, why not give your time to others and get paid?
I was not really sure of this a few months back, until one day I came across a beautiful initiative from Ankit.
Just in case you wish to enhance your experience of mentorship and help others, do join Topmate for free here https://bit.ly/3PQwagz.
With this, you can:
- Clear the clutter and unnecessary noise
- 1:1 video call with your mentees for free
- No additional software like Zoom or Google Meet needed, works on browsers
- Focus on your time and spend quality time with mentees
- Schedule your calendar
- Automate booking your time for someone in need of your time and suggestions
- Mentor someone, help someone and get paid for your time
Do let me know if you find this useful 💐

All children are geniuses and born for greatness, but Parents, Educators, Grown-Ups, Society and obsolete Education Systems dumb them down and make them mediocre with their limiting beliefs, false values and fixed mindsets.
This video reminded us of a conversation with physicist, best-selling author, futurist Michio Kaku who echoed my sentiments and said “All Kids are born geniuses, but are crushed by society itself.” Curiosity is the key trigger for developing creativity, love of learning and learning2learn and begins as early as four months, and it is in that curiosity the opportunity to learn and develop the unlimited potential is presented.
Parents, Guardians, Educators, Mentors and Society are obligated to nurture the genius potential in all children and enable them to unleash that. Kaku further shared with me that the brain can grow and expand to the greatest extent of its capacity; but this is limited by societal constraints, which limit the brain from growing and developing to its fullest potential.
There is an old quote “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” We must believe and speak words of affirmation with all our children and build their growth mindset and enhanve their character for understanding and unleashing their unlimited potential to go beyond and GO FOR EXTRAORDINARY.
To quote Frederick Douglas “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men”.
Parents have reduced education to a career and fancy lifestyle, and end up making children develop a false sense of entitlement. That’s frightening!
Educators understand this but come under pressure as most parents only focus on performance of percentage. Thus, education gets reduced to studying-by-rote, to get high-percentage and a certificate/degree. So, the child becomes a career mule burdened all his life, in a thankless hated job (the Gallup World poll shows that 85% of people who come to work, hate their jobs). Truth be told, the child could have learned more, been more, done more, grown more, contributed more, if parents had chosen to focus more on their child’s innate potential.

What is the connection between the recently successful Chandrayaan3 mission, Charauda, and Bharat Kumar?
As you must be aware that India has become the first country to land a rover on moon’s south pole – the dark side of the Moon that never faces the sun. Multiple attempts by other countries have failed. A big team of scientists has spent years working on the project.
In the state of Chhattisgarh there is a small town called Charauda. In this town lived a small boy named Bharat Kumar. His father worked as a bank guard who had a strong desire to give good education to his children. Since money was always in short supply, the wife started idli and chai from a ramshackle shack, near the railway line. Bharat used to help his mother. Nearby, coal was loaded and unloaded all the time, and both mother and son, covered in black soot, used to work relentlessly. He washed plates, served tea, and studied at the same time.
He was studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya Charauda. When he was in ninth class, arranging school fees became difficult. He was about to be served the termination certificate when the school management decided to waive off the school fee. The teachers bore the cost of books and notebooks. He passed that the 12th standard with merit and got admission in IIT Dhanbad, to study engineering.
There again he faced financial hardship. The local businessman from Raipur, Mr. Arun Baag, and the Jindal Group, extended help. He passed his semester with 98% marks and received the gold medal.
When he was in the 7 semester of his engineering course, he was the only student chosen by ISRO during an on-campus recruitment drive.
He became a part of the team that sent Chandrayaan 3 to the moon. He is just 23.
The country extends heartiest congratulations to this young engineer and scientist.

To all the young people out there, as you stand at the threshold of adulthood, you’re entering a phase of life filled with transitions, challenges, and opportunities. During this transformative journey, it’s important to remember that happiness is an attitude you need to cultivate. Here’s what Mr. Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet shared with students of Pallikoodam, Kerala (one of India’s finest schools).
I hope it serves as a reminder that your happiness is within your control and that you can be happy just by embracing simple things.

Asking is key to our success. When we ask, we have a chance to get. If we do not ask, we do not have a chance!
"People who ask confidently get more than those who are hesitant and uncertain. When you've figured out what you want to ask for, do it with certainty, boldness, and confidence."
Jack Canfield
