#Self_Development||Seeking Knowledge ▪︎Importance of seeking knowledge: ISLAM has given great importance to seek the knowledge. If we look at the first five Āyāt of Qur'ān revealed to our Beloved Prophet ﷺ they stress on acquiring knowledge and its teaching. اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ .خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ . اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ . الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ . عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ¤ “Recite in the name of your Lord Who created. He created man from a clot. Recite, and your Lord is the Most generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught man what he knew not.” [📚Surah Al-Halaq:1-5 ] Every Muslim is obligated to seek knowledge regardless of their gender, age, ethnicity, social status and more. We all should strive to seek knowledge to improve and empower ourselves to be the productive individuals of the Ummah. The Prophet ﷺ  said: “Seeking Knowledge is an obligation on every Muslim.” [📚-Sunan Ibn Ma‌jah: 224] There are many other verses of the Qur'ān and hadīths which mention the importance and virtues of seeking knowledge. The people of knowledge and ignorants can't be equal, Allah تعالی says: "...قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى الَّذِيۡنَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ وَالَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ‌ؕ..." "...Are those who know equal to those who do not know?.." [📚Surah Az-zumar:9] Having knowledge should not be a reason for being arrogant. In fact, having more knowledge  should make us  more humble and God fearing person. As Allāh تعالی says: اِنَّمَا يَخۡشَى اللّٰهَ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِ الۡعُلَمٰٓؤُا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيۡزٌ غَفُوۡرٌ ۞ "Only those fear Allāh, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Forgiving." [📚-Surah Fatir : 28] Well, we all want to enter into Jannah and seeking knowledge is one of the things that will surely lead us towards Jannah إن شاءالله. As The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever takes a path in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to walk in one of the paths to Paradise. 📌 ~ILam and Yaqeen~ The best provision for a Muhajir/Muhajirah One of the biggest hurdle for a believer to make the land of Hijrah and ji-hād his abode is the fear of lack of sustenance,  absence of his loved ones and loneliness etc. It's human nature to rely on apparent external factors and make decisions accordingly. But the beneficial knowledge, and strong conviction in it and then trust in Allāh تعالى are the chracteristics of People of  الإيمان that turn the mountains of difficulties and problems into grains of sand. That is why we should first acquire knowledge of religion and then sincerely believe in the teachings of Allāh and His Messenger. I often think that if the people would have known this hadith and then blindly believed in it, I think not even a single person would have stayed behind from this path. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The person who participates in (Ji-hād) in Allāh's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allāh and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allāh either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr).." [📚-Sahih Bukhari : 36] SubhanAllāh !! What can be a greater pleasure than this, that Beloved Lord becomes the guarantor of a person, and be sufficient for him in this world and the hereafter.  Neither the worries of the world nor the sorrow of the hereafter will bother Him/her.
