Field Application Engineer/Manager – Power, Simulation & Test Systems
Role Overview
The Application Engineer supports customers across the entire solution lifecycle, including pre-sales consultation, system commissioning, training, troubleshooting, and post-sales support. The role covers Test & Measurement Systems, Real-Time Simulation (Power Systems, Power Electronics & HIL), EV Charging Test Solutions, and Power Conversion & Energy Test Systems, working closely with customers, principals, and the sales team to ensure successful solution deployment and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Technical Support
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer discussions.
- Support solution sizing, product selection, and proposal preparation.
- Assist with technical marketing activities, seminars, and exhibitions.
Commissioning & Customer Support
- Perform system installation, setup, commissioning, and onboarding.
- Facilitate customer training and getting-started guidance.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and coordinate issue resolution with principals.
Integration & Product Validation
- Support system integration and application development projects.
- Perform incoming equipment inspection and validation.
- Maintain demonstration systems and prepare technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma/ Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power, Mechatronics, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years experience preferably in technical support; Knowledge of test & measurement, power systems, power electronics, or industrial automation prefer
- Knowledgeable in use of MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, or similar engineering tools is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
