Hackers steal money (level - B2-C1) Technology companies suspect North Korean hackers committed a $100 million robbery on a California blockchain company called Harmony. It confirmed that they hacked some of its software that uses cryptocurrency to move across different blockchains. A blockchain security company called Elliptic Enterprises tracks stolen cryptocurrency. They said that the hackers are the Lazarus Group, and they stole user name and password credentials for Harmony employees to break into the platform. The Lazarus Group has an unknown number of individuals led by North Korea, and experts believe that the government supports by the group. North Korean hackers are increasingly sophisticated. In 2021, they stole an estimated $400 million, mostly in Ether; however, the total for 2022 has already passed that number. Organisers did not believe that the boy intentionally vandalised the oil painting, saying that it was obvious that he did not mean to push it. The exhibition organisers decided not to charge the boy for the damage and said that the painting could be easily restored. After the collapse of the USSR, the town was in Georgia. However, there was a war during 1992–93 when Abkhaz separatists broke from Georgia which led to the first exodus. The second emigration took place during the 2008 conflict between Georgia and Russia. Photos of Mars (level B2-C1) A Chinese spacecraft named Tianwen-1 took images that cover the entire planet of Mars. The spacecraft reached Mars in February 2021, and since that time, it circled the planet more than 1,300 times. Its data includes visuals of Mars’s south pole which holds almost all of the planet’s water. Other images show the 4,000-kilometer long canyon Valles Marineris and the impact craters of Arabia Terra. The location of subsurface water is important to determine the planet’s potential for life, and it also gives a permanent resource for human exploration. The name of the robotic spacecraft actually has six separate pieces of equipment: an orbiter, two deployable cameras, a lander, a remote camera, and a rover. It has no crew. Under the pole is almost all of the planet’s water, which is very important for scientists. They believe that life can be there with water there. Only two countries successfully landed on Mars: the US and China. Just like with the US mission, no crew was on the spacecraft.
