Here are some quick tips before your English examination tomorrow! 😁 • For situational writing, bear in mind the format, tone and register. • Make sure you fulfil the task fulfilment points in an organised way. • Elaborate adequately and do not simply copy what is in the given text. • For narrative / recount essays, be highly creative and descriptive throughout your response. • Have a significant plot issue that is worthy of being a story. • Avoid overly predictable ideas. • Include meticulous details in your description. • Consider these things in order to be descriptive - visuals, colours, textures actions, observations, emotions. • For argumentative / expository / descriptive essays, ensure that you have 3 solid points (that engage the question) for your 3 content paragraphs. • Each content paragraph must be well-developed and link back to the question. • Step-by-step elaboration and at least 2 examples per paragraph. • Write a solid introduction and an impactful conclusion. • For Paper 2, be prepared to answer commonly tested question types. Follow the answering formats. • For summary, rephrase the question in a comprehensible way and highlight all that are necessary. Write your summary response in chronological order as in the summary passage but paraphrase as much as you can. Do not worry about technical terms that cannot be rephrased. Read the questions carefully before answering them. Take note of time management and stay focused. Be calm and confident! Do remember to bring all your exam materials! All the best, you can do it!
