GD & Lecturette tips All the SSB aspirants are confused about what to prepare and how to prepare for group discussions & lecturette as 100% preparations for these two things is not possible. Firstly you need to understand that these two things check yours Knowledge, Public speaking, Confidence, Ability to influence others, Clarity of thoughts. For all these things you need to keep yourself updated about the recent happenings around the country as well as around the world. Start your basic preparations with reading newspaper especially Editorial pages and start writing important facts & points of the topics. For GD & Lecturette it’s good to speak about correct facts as it will reflect your knowledge about the topic. In GD the first topic will always come from the current affairs and the second topic will depend upon the performance of the group during first GD. Therefore, follow any good newspaper , YouTube channel , magazine and website. Make notes from all the above resources and IMPORTANT TIP HERE IS WRITE ABOUT YOUR OWN OPINION about the particular topic. As IO always want to know about your approach towards any situation. For lecturette what I always suggest to divide topics eg. start with : 1- India’s relationship with other countries- USA, Russia, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal , Iran, Israel. 2- Important organisations- ISRO, DRDO, UN, BIMSTEc, G-20, G-7, BRICS, SAARC, SCO etc. 3- Social issues/ Problems- Child labour, poverty, inflation, media , Domestic violence, dowry, pollution etc etc… 4- Basic topics- internet, my best friend, favourite hero, best day of my life etc.. During lecturette they check your clarity of thoughts & public speaking. If you will speak about basic topic like best day of my life fluently and finish within time limit then you will get good marks. It’s not necessary to speak about hard topic if you are not confident about it. In defence forces they ask you to give briefings so lecturette is the task where they check whether you are able to give proper briefing or not. Lecturette- divide your topics into three parts - Intro- main body - conclusion. Now these 3 things can be divided further on the basis of the topic- if topic is a social problem then you can tell what is problem, it’s causes & effects and how to eradicate it. Next for India’s relationship- Historic relationship, Diplomatic relationship, Trade relationship, Cultural relationship, current happiness, effect of relationship ( your opinion). MOST IMPORTANTLY- Start speaking English, start having discussion with your family & friends or you can make group of SSB aspirants and have it on google meet. REMEMBER PRACTICE IS THE KEY. These are the basic preparations for Gd & Lecturette, I tried to explain it, now it’s your turn to start practising.

GPE Discussion Tip: During discussion try to convince the group by prioritising the problems with proper reasoning that why that task is supposed to be given attention at first. Also you can add point that it’s a group task and all the problems will be solved by the different members of the group at the same time. Also you need to list out all the hidden resources which can be used by solving the problems. IMPORTANT POINT here is after the discussion the group is supposed to nominate one person to narrate the solution of the group, then you can nominate the other candidate also you can raise your hand if you feel that you are confident with your solution. When GTO asked the group about the changes they feel they want to make in the solution given the selected candidate then please dnt start listing the changes. You have chosen him/ her as your leader and you need to follow the solution of your leader. Also you have already submitted your individual solution on the paper sheet to the GTO, he will get to know about your solution while check that out. Start solving GPEs, remember you need to mention time & distance for the particular task along with the resources used to complete that task. Good luck

Share TAT story for this picture. Time limit- 4 minutes. No need to mention Action, no. Of characters, age or gender as in TAT you are not supposed to do that. Also TAT means Thematic apperception test- you need to observe the picture & try to connect with any of your thought. You must have seen this scene in any hospital, or you can think of any situation where this scene will be there. It is not at all necessary that you need to start your story from this scene only. This scene can be starting phase or middle one or the ending of your story. Think of realistic situations and write proper actions. I will review each story but for that you need to write and share it on the discussion group.

What’s your opinion????? Uganda's parliament on Tuesday passed a law that criminalises identifying as LGBTQ, handing authorities broad powers to target Ugandans who already face legal discrimination and mob violence. More than 30 African countries, including Uganda, already ban same-s€x relations. The new law appears to be the first to outlaw merely identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ), according to rights group Human Rights Watch.

Tanot was attacked by the Pakistan Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 during which 3,000 bombs were fired towards the temple. However, as per local lore, the bombs either missed their target or did not explode.[5] After the 1965 war, India's Border Security Force (BSF) took charge of the temple and the responsibility of managing and maintenance. Tanot was attacked again during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, but this time the attacking tanks got bogged down in the sand, allowing the Indian Air Force to destroy them.[4][5] After the 1971 war, the Indian Army built a Vijay Stambha (Victory tower) inside the temple compound to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Longewala.

What is the difference between international border and line of control? Description:- LOC- The term Line of Control (LOC) refers to the military control line between the Indian and Pakistani-controlled parts of the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. IB-The International Border (IB) is the India–Pakistan Border which serves as a border between the countries of India and Pakistan. Purpose: LOC-Military control line that is considered as the de facto border. IB- Official border between the countries.
