it appears that last night Dekalb county police in metro Atlanta got a call about a man with a knife, showed up to a scene, came upon this guy and assumed it was him, chased after him and shot at him several times. in panic, he had to break into his own house to get in and away from the shots, police fired at him into his own home, realized they had hit him, and left him untreated there until they got a SWAT team to break in to the house and shoot him dead. they reported that he "broke into an abandoned home" but it is literally his own home in his own name.
