Astounding things happening in the Third Rail chat

Lauritz has seen that A24 Civil War movie and reports back with his immediate thoughts and observations: "This was the worst movie I've seen in a while. I don't even know what message or signal the movie is supposed to send. California and Texas for whatever reason have decided to declare war on the Eastern States and Florida is some weird third party, and they're winning badly against the Eastern States. The movie is just 2 hours following four war journalists around (nightcrawler style) as random people shoot random people and commit a bunch of war crimes. The western forces murder a bunch of unarmed secret service people and the president. Oh and Charlottesville is *the* battlefront. So that one wasn't subtle. The movie has no message. You don't learn anything about the motivations of any of the parties. At all. Not even a bysentence. It has no racial angle either. If I was guessing, I'd say its maybe something like "war journos are cool" but not even that. Maybe more like "war journalists are dysfunctional but do necessary work"? But honestly they're do unsympathetic in the film and you spend the whole time hoping someone shoots them. It's just a mess of a movie." This description reminds me a lot of Bushwick and how incoherent and pointless it was as a film.
