Played a gig with my big girls last night. So much fun. And so proud of them. We were helping raise funds for the AVN bus to go to Tasmania where they will document first-hand experiences of people injured by j*bs. It was a great opportunity to play our set ahead of Tamworth Country Music Festival next week too. And today we’re playing at The Family Farm in Kyogle, a private event for 100 or so families who have invested in food security by coming together to buy a farm! So many good people doing good things to create a bright future for our children. And we get to make music together along the way. Lots of love, Ben (and Honey and Cherry)

The media lies. Not about everything. There might be 5 or 10% truth in The News so the 90-95% of complete fabrication, lies and manipulation is more easily swallowed. But they do lie. All the time. Every day. To keep the people doing what ‘they’ want. Buying what ‘they’ want us to buy. Doing what ’they’ want us to do (hurting ourselves and arguing, mostly). And feeling what ‘they want us to feel. And they want us to feel scared and powerless, so they have the power. But we have the power. And the power starts with discernment: looking a bit deeper before deciding on what you are seeing; asking more questions than we normally might; remaining open to possibilities that may seem far-fetched but may, in fact, be right on the money.

Navigating conflict is part of life. But that doesn’t mean all conflicts are created equal. Some conflicts aren’t worth another thought. It’s quite amazing how many conflicts disappear when you pay them no mind.

Fantastic to be back playing shows around Byron and my home in the Northern Rivers, NSW. Had some great gigs at Balter Brewing Company, The Treehouse, Belongil Beach and Ocean Shores Country Club recently and looking forward to my next gig on… Friday 18th November at The Courthouse Hotel Mullumbimby from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
